Toledo will find a way to double it!

Waaaahh!!! Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhh! Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhh!

lol

Perfect!!! Love it!

Looks like I was right. In 2010 it will be $10 per resident who doesn't recycle, up from $5.50 today.

but as long as we're paying that 3/4 % there shouldn't be an extra fee for trash pick up.

I found it odd last night on the news (13 abc) when they were talking about this, the guy from the city they were talking to made the comment that if they lost the revenue from this trash fee they would lay off police officers.
I wasn't aware that the trash fee was for the purpose of paying to keep cops on the job. I guess thats just the standard reply here in Toledo, give us more tax money or we'll cut the cops.

The city, administration and council, have nothing left, to rely on.

People throw trash away and it is a source of revenue that is still left.

But one still has to wonder with the declining population and increasing costs, how long will the administration and council be able to depend on the revenue from the trash fee.

We here and read about plans, here and there, Southwyck, the Steam Plant, the Marina and yet nothing has fully come to fruition bringing the much needed revenue.

The steam plant is on record to begin development this spring, pending tax credits were to be approved, which they were. If its' not, then Toledoans have a right to be angry, as I do believe Ball and Jackson did receive city funds or help for the project and they did give their word.
