The weather seems messed up.

Two nights in a row I’ve been woken up by thunderstorms. In February no less! I’m sure this topic will devolve into global warming and such (and I’ll happily participate) but I just wanted to point out that the weather does really seemed to have changed when I was a kid.

I remember ice fishing in the winter. My uncles tell me of taking their cars out on the ice this time of year. Now people are loosing snow mobiles and ATVs through the ice (when the ice is even there).

I was talking to a friend in Minnesota the other day and they were saying the same thing. Of coarse their winter is how I remember ours 25 years ago. I miss having 4 real seasons.

I wonder what my kids will remember winters being like in 25 or 30 years.

Octobers seem a lot colder then I remember. I recall going trick or treating without coats or even having to wear clothing under the costumes. Seems like every year I'd taken my son lately its been heavy coat weather.
Maybe our seasons are going to flip and we'll have snow in July and 90° will be what we come to expect on Christmas day.

I remember it being much colder for longer stretches, way more snow and ice storms. I remember the snow starting in November and lasting well into March.

I moved away from this area to the NW coast and became use to weather that was more mild. Then, moved back here 13 years ago to find that there isn't much difference now. 30 years has made a very big difference in weather here.

I'm not complaining though. After all, I'm of the Snow is nice in Nov., Dec. and then back to a nice 80 and sun:-)

weather always fluctuates . We can't control it
