He whose name cannot be spoken had Doug Haynam and Jon Stainbrook on today for an update on the Republican party troubles. Both feel strongly about their positions and can be heard at www.wspd.com at the podcast site later this morning. Enjoy. He whose name cannot be spoken airs weekday mornings 5:30-9a on 1370 WSPD (shameless and embarassing plug)

Dammit Fred, stop with the personal attacks. Have you no shame???
looks like someone had a stern talking to today, eh? lol
From last Friday, Noes did not hire Joanne Wack and Bob Riechert. Jon made this accusation and it is not true. The executive assistant Noe hired left when she left, and Sally Perz hired someone else, who left when Bob Riechert came. I was surprised that he did not mention Noe in today's interview.
Also, I believe that the reason that Doug dropped the 5-6 contested names was because new information from the Board of Elections appeared. I don't think it is Doug's fault and he is correctly fixing it.
Here is my biggest concern with Jon, and it was demonstrated on Friday's conversation with Fred, when he said that Fred and Denny are in co-hoots. Fred said no we are not and I don't know what you are talking about.
Back during the city council primary debate, I was at Dave's Home Cooked Foods. Jon was talking to a reporter saying Joe Kidd will be here any minute now. The reporter kept asking where he was and Jon said he was coming. Jon said he was busy because everyone was asking him (kidd) about Paul Gilmore. I did not see Kidd quoted anywhere in the media about Gilmore the next day, but that night, the reporter looked a little steamed that Kidd was not there. The reporter left.
Jon Stainbrook would be a great promoter, but the problem is that in the political ring, a promoter type of attitude will get you into trouble when what you say does not live up to what is said. Plus it is easy to say stuff when you are promoting and not expect people to question it, but in the political arena, like making allegations that Fred and Denny are in co-hoots when they are not, will cause problems. I imagine if he does get the chairmanship, he will misstep more than what people will be comfortable with, unless he matures, especially in the presentation.
Doug is doing the right thing by having the judge rule, because the by-laws say you must be a Republican at the central committee meeting and if a prospective central committee member did not vote or pulled a democratic ballot, they invalidate themselves. As much as I would have loved to participate in "Operation Chaos" I knew if I did, I would no longer be on central committee, which is why I did not do such a thing. So regardless of who is not eligible, if it is Jon Stainbrooks' merry bunch of men or any of the current central committeemen, they should not be eligible to serve if they did not follow the by-laws.
I guess we will see what happens. The downside of the extension is that we now have to wait longer while this stuff goes on. I was looking forward to having resolution over the weekend.
Of course anyone can prove me wrong or right. Contact me at the form above if you have any new information.
