This is why your radio station is THAT much more respectable than WSPD. THANK YOU for providing REAL radio and providing an outlet for REAL DISCUSSION.
Great clip Troy. You were spot on about crossing your T's and dotting your I's. Excellent!!
Dave
Nice...
You've earned a new listener. Besides, I'm interested in hearing a discussion, not to be told what to think.
Troy, you're one of the biggest 'softball' interviewers I've ever heard (the Joanne Wack one taking the Boobie, and I do mean Boobie, prize), but to hear a competitor say you 'wish to remain nameless 'or 'unidentified' or whatever the exact quote was when using a tape from your show to make their point is indeed a chickenshit manuever of Mack-truck proportions.
It's also, ummm......unethical, something they love to accuse others about town of being, but let's be real. There isn't any real 'journalism', in the traditional sense of the word, coming out of either of these outlets. At least Neff is upfront about not truly being in the game, while the other wins the award for being the biggest phoney in the joint.
Which is why I don't listen to local radio or TV when it comes to interviews.
One does not need to be bombastic and confrontational. Like wise one does not need to put down egg shells because the guest may not come back if a question is asked he or she does not like.
The few podcasts I listened too lack or lacked any follow up to a question. I don't remember specifics but it is along the lines of, why was this done or this action taken, the guest rambles on at length and speaks a lot of words and says little and the interviewer moves with out an answer or even trying the same question worded differently to get an answer.
Maybe the hosts don't hear the questions or now how to use broad questions to get answers and then focus down to the issue, or simply do not care too.
was on here apparently long enough to post a promo for his show but not respond to anything regarding this thread.
Anybody from WSPD want to discuss why you people can't attribute a video segment you knowingly used to the proper source?
I just noticed this thread is five months old. Maybe WSPD has changed their standards and practices since then. Or maybe not. Not too late to enlighten, anybody...
