Since I recently started a new job in Oregon I've seen more of the east side then I had in my entire life.
I'm a bit confused about the Toledo/Oregon border though and I thought that maybe someone here might know the answer.
When travelling towards Oregon on Navarre just after the railroad tracks that run along the Sunoco refinery there is a sign that says basically "Welcome to Oregon" So you would think that directly across the street but facing the other way would be a "welcome to Toledo" sign but there isn't.
That sign is just after the railroad bridge at the opposite end of the Sunoco refinery.
Basically it looks as though the frontage of the refinery is in both Toledo and Oregon. Or perhaps one side of the street is Toledo and the other Oregon?
I've also noticed that every afternoon there are two oregon police officers parked on each side of the road with their lights flashing outside gate six. When the weather is nice they are usually standing ouside their cars chatting and will sometimes stop traffic to let trucks turn out of gate six of the refinery.
Its not a huge deal, it just made me curious about the border there.
...the Board of Elections ward map for the city of Oregon - it shows the street boundaries and should help you identify where, exactly, the jurisdictions meet.

From the looks of that, it would appear that one side of the street is Oregon and the other Toledo, which would mean that of of those cops was parked on the wrong side of the road :Þ
Then again I'm probably reading it wrong :)
Drive up the Woodville Road side of the refinery and figure out where it is in relation to Toledo, Oregon, and Northwood. Now you'll really be confused. :)
