"The city of Toledo's revenue last year from
tax-sharing agreements with other communities increased sharply after
dipping a year earlier.
The city so far has collected $913,596 for 2007 from its joint economic
development zones and districts with Maumee, Perrysburg, Rossford, and
Monclova Township.
The final amount expected to be collected for 2007 is just over $1.06
million, according to data released last week. That's up from $654,366
in 2006 and $670,412 in 2005.

The joint development agreements have emerged as a way to boost
municipal tax revenues since Toledo has failed to expand its boundaries
through annexation, said Todd Davies, Toledo's commissioner of
development."

It can't get any more simple than that.

Heck, even the morons who voted for Carty should be able to understand THAT simple equation.
