I know this is a little late, but from hearing the interview with Barry Soskin on WSPD's Eye on Toledo there seems to be some backhanded deals going on with the Storm and Barry seems left out. What do you think?

...is in the requirements about funding...the county can't use tax dollars for a privately-owned team...which is why the commissioners want the Mud Hens to purchase the Storm...
I'm of the belief that too many business leaders but mostly local politicians don't like Barry Soskin's style and the fact that he lives in/near Chicago. However, he's done more for the Toledo community by reviving a hockey franchise (back in '91) and currently than most politicians ever have or will.
IMHO.
