Jon Stainbrook is a cancer on any organization he is a part of

One thing that is a highlight of Jon Stainbrook, is that he is known to destroy anything he touches. For example, the Lucas County Republican Party has never been in worse shape, the Board of Elections is a laughing stock and full of problems.

US Gov't-run healthcare failures uncovered!

Finally it is being proven that this is the culture and when I was volunteering at the VA in Ann Arbor this was the norm and not the exception.

I believe the Dept of Veterans Affairs needs to be completely dismantled. A completely new entity needs to be constructed as the current one is so badly broken it is beyond repair.

THE BLADE, THE UT BOARD OF TRUSTEES, AND PRESIDENT JACOBS WEAVE A TANGLED WEB

The University of Toledo President Lloyd Jacobs has the best bosses in the world! The members of the UT Board of Trustees (who are named later in this post) must be either clueless about and/or complicit with the failed tenure of Jacobs. What other supervisors would respond to the questionable actions of an employee for whom they are responsible by rewarding him with a year of well-paid employment instead of a pink slip? The UT Board—that’s who.

After the recent UT scandal involving Rick Stansley that resulted in representatives from the Ohio Attorney General’s office meeting with the UT Board, it wasn’t surprising that Jacobs announced his departure—but who would have guessed his exit wouldn’t be until 2015? How does a man who was at the helm of an institution that aided Stansley with sheltering his income from being garnished because of $1 million in back taxes not get the axe—like now?

Particularly interesting is that two of the Board members are officials in the banking industry. If anyone should be concerned with the importance of ethics and laws, one would think it would be these people.

Oftentimes, the public outcry over situations like the Stansley case is fueled by local media coverage. One thing that Jacobs has going for him is that the president and general manager of The Blade, Joe Zerbey, is the chairman of the UT Board. Jacobs catches all the breaks!

Daily affirmations by Jon Stainbrook

Does Jon know that thou shall not lie is one of the 10 commandments? Without further adieu:

GMO labeling means freedom to choose!

Do you want to know if your food has been genetically modified? Anyone here at Swampbubbles want to see GMO labeling? I know I do. I think labeling will give me back the freedom to be able to choose what I'm eating.

Compare and contrast these Congressional Hearings

I'm curious at the treatment received by different people when ordered to testify at a Congressional hearing.

For instance, an IRS official who was in charge of the department that denied tax exempt status to groups with 'Patriot' or 'TEA party' in their name gets to yap about her side of the story, then tells Congress to stick it and walks out...

EYES-are the window to your Soul. ( that is if you have one )

After seeing "President" Hussein OweBaMao Bin Lying, yesterday, I knew that I've seen those beady black and cold blooded eyes before.
I caught a hammerhead off of H.H.I., and the eyes are IDENTICAL !!!
Wicked and sinister by Nature !!!!

Then, I checked the eyes of baby killer Kermit Gossnell-the same !!!
Upon further inquiry-Ariel Castro-has the same eyes as Obozo's, too ?!

GOP takes wrong approach...

The news in recent days has been the big build up to the GOP crying party over why it all went wrong. Why doesn't anyone like us? What can we do to be the cool kids? Their answer is....to change and be more like the Libs. Then all will be well and everyone will vote for us...Nothing could be further from the truth!

The things is, if you want to lead...um let's say a political party, you need to have some principals that people can believe in.Sound, character building principals. Right principal.

It's great to be black...

Have you ever seen two black people pass in a hallway and give each other a nod? I asked a black co-worker about this phenomenon and he told me I wouldn't understand because it's a "black thing." So, in other words, skin color is the trump card for determining how you act toward someone.

Well, Obama would not have been re-elected had he not been black. Someone with such a pathetic record would have lost in a landslide had he been white. But, Obama knew that all he had to do was put out an APB to blacks and they would show up in large numbers (it also helps to provide pizza and donuts to keep people waiting in line as Obama's lackeys did in Dade County Florida). They vote for Obama because he's black.

Senator Mourdock said what he believed

In a recent debate, Indiana Senator Richard Murdock stated that the creation of life, even in the case of rape, "Is something that God intended".

While I am quite sure this has enraged many in the US, I think that the Senator stated his opinion and his view. Life is so precious that if created, could be of a plan that we cannot or choose not to conceptualize that it deserves to be protected.

Add your Government subsidized industry here

I would like to try an experiment and you participation is needed.

Think of an industry. Any industry here in the United States and think of a way they might receive a Federal Subsidy. Not just one company but how a segment of our economy might receive a tax break or tax payer money back through the Government.

Here's how this idea started. We all now know of the video from Cleveland where a paid Obama supporter was bragging of her free paid Obama phone.

Message To Mitt Romney

Are you one of Romney's 47%? Maybe you are but haven't thought about it.

Here's Gil Smart with some ideas on the "makers" and "takers" concerning Romney's 47%.

The media and its talking heads have a tendency to dismiss such an incident as the work of a lone, crazy man. But how could we not think that the xenophobic hatemongering that emanates from some Protestant pulpits and the ranting of right-wing radio shock jocks and born-again patriots might have something to do with it? Quote from article:

Yet in its eagerness to announce the project last week, the mayor's office failed to do basic research about one of its principals that a Blade reporter conducted without breaking a sweat. The newspaper reported that the lead developer of the Southwyck project has been sued three dozen times in Lucas County over such issues as back taxes and foreclosures.

Tough Week at WSPD

The morning and afternoon local hosts at WSPD appeared to have gotten peeved this week over emails they received from people who took issue with their "All Libertarian/All of the Time" programming (i.e. Ron Paulites Fred LeFebvre and Brian Wilson, Charlie Earl, Free Talk Live, and frequent interviews with Lew Rockwell). Fred read an email from someone who was objecting to having "Ron Paul shoved down our throats" (or something to that effect). You could tell that Fred got pretty steamed about the email because he kept saying the emailer's first name with an agitated tone. Strangely, he chastised the writer for sending an email and said that this was radio and he should call--then why does he make a point of giving out the email address?
