I don't read the Blah. I keep hearing that Phil Copeland(d.-Toledo)has tried getting paid for meetings he hasn't attended, or something along those lines. Maybe someone can tell me the gist of some comments he recently made about the subject, as I cannot begin to understand what he said on several clips being played on the radio and TV. I know he rarely makes comments on the air, and after hearing him speak, incoherently, about this issue-I can certainly understand why.

COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) - Ohio is getting about $400 million in federal stimulus money to restore passenger train service among its major cities.
Gov. Ted Strickland said Wednesday that U.S. Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood called him about the grant. Ohio is planning a 79-mph, startup train service connecting Cleveland, Columbus, Dayton and Cincinnati.

New motions added to the legal wrangling over control of the Lucas County Republican Party forced another delay yesterday in determining who is the rightful party chairman.
Lucas County Common Pleas Judge Charles Doneghy delayed until tomorrow a hearing on incumbent party Chairman Jon Stainbrook's petition for an injunction against an effort to have him ousted.

For one in five Columbus-area households, the economic decline is making for bare cupboards.
A report released today by the Food Research and Action Center found that 20 percent of households in the metro area faced "food hardship" in 2008 and 2009.
That means families answered "yes" when Gallup surveyers asked whether there were times in the past year when they did not have enough money to buy needed food.

Toledo, Ohio. St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church hosts its annual Chili Cook-Off to benefit the parish’s community outreach programs. There will be two awards for Best Chili: the People’s Choice and the Celebrity Judges’ Choice. This family-friendly event includes Game Night where participants can play card and board games.

Well we are finally free of Carty Finkbeiner. In The Blade I read that our newly inaugurated Mayor announced that the new Welcome To Toledo signs would not bear his name. No ego-massaging signs for Mr. Bell as we had for Finkbeiner. Instead of the new mayor's name being displayed on the signs we will see an image of a rocket! How great! The Blade's cartoonist Kirk stuck Finkbeiner with the title Hizzoner. A great suggestion for all the pundits out there: let's call our new mayor Mike "The Rocketman" Bell!

I wasn't able to make it to the info meetings about this new trash pick up so I was wondering if anyone here might know the answer to this question.
I can sit a bag of trash on top of a snow drift but I'm a little unclear about balancing a 96 gallon trash bin on one. I'm thinking of just leaving them sit where they get dropped off instead of trying to drag them around my car through the snow.

A George Mason Physicist, Eugenie Mielczarek, saw Wolfman's post on unintended acceleration and wrote to send his thoughts on the issue. His theory is quite interesting. Eugenie is saying that she feels the Toyota cases of unintended acceleration could be a result of RF interference given all of the wireless controls on a car right now. He speaks with experience being he was a victim of his Subaru Tribeca taking off for no apparent reason.
Well tomorrow is Thanksgiving day. A very American holiday. A time to pause and give thanks for all we have been blessed with as Americans. For a strong and free government blessed with divine providence from God. So take a moment and be thankful.It could be worse. We could actually have a horrible economy and owe the nation to a Communist country. (Oh wait we do!) Well at least we have a President who puts his country before his own ego.
