Scott High School Alumni Association moving forward with New Campaign
"Save Our Scott; Save Our Community"
Forum Scheduled For Pubic To Voice Concerns
The Jesup Wakeman Scott High School Alumni Association is moving forward with it's "Save Our Scott; Save Our Community" Campaign. The association is sponsoring a community forum at Scott High School, 2400 Collingwood Blvd, Toledo, Ohio on Thursday, October 18, 2007 at 6:30pm in the school's cafeteria. The purpose of the forum is to gain community input and rouse more community involvement.
The goal of the Scott Alumni Association in this campaign is to have a fully renovated Scott High School, increase parental involvement and gain more support from community groups to enrich students' academic and social development. In the forum the Association will be reaching out to Scott students and parents, as well as, various community members, organizations, and businesses for input towards the overall goals and objectives for the campaign.
"The impact of Scott's future affects the entire city of Toledo. We all have a responsibility to stand in the gap to ensure our youth have the best quality education. The Alumni Association continues to engage Toledo Public Schools as it concerns the future of Scott High School, the physical aspects and academics of the institution. As we keep Scott front and center in the public's conscience, we are amassing a broad-base of community allies in pursuit of building a better future for youth to come." Taron Cunningham, Advocacy Committee Chairperson
