Poverty in America
I sent the following E-mail to Fred at WSPD.
"Magna Toledo expansion: The jobs will pay an average of $13.46 an hour for assembly workers and $19.46 an hour for skilled-trades workers, city officials said.
WOW! How many families will be able to support their families on that wage? Those jobs will pay no taxes to support your Toledo government."

Who Is The Spokesperson Of Liberal America?
What I'd like to know is-who is the left wing nuts' spokesperson? The names: Rush, Glen, and Levin are constantly spoken of as conservative leaders. Why is it nobody ever mentions "so and so" is the leader of left wing America? What liberal has a substantial following like these three do? You can't compare them to politicians, since politicians get free air time. So, who IS the voice of liberal America???

Voice of America profiles Salmenna Sedique
Voice of America is profiling Salmenna Sedique and her new role as president of the Masjid Saad Islamic Center.
===
Some in the West have long held negative stereotypes toward the Islamic faith, particularly when it comes to the role of women. But if one woman in Toledo, Ohio has her way, that is about to change. She was recently elected president of a local Islamic center. She oversees the operations of a community center, school, and mosque, including the activities of the Imam. Her goal is to show the non-Muslim world that women of Islam can do and achieve anything they want.
Jet America grounded
I just saw this on 13abc's Web site, they are reporting that Jet America is down for the count-they have suspended all operations.
Snowball sums it up nicely:
America's poor are its most generous givers
America's poor donate more, in percentage terms, than higher-income groups do, surveys of charitable giving show. What's more, their generosity declines less in hard times than the generosity of richer givers does. (link)

WARREN - It didn't attract a crowd that covered every blade of grass in downtown Warren's Courthouse Square, but as one of the organizers suggested, Saturday's middle-class worker rally was a start.
