Mark Levin - Wilson Of WSPD Uses His Own Political Views To Run His Station

HATE radio's finest hour! Too funny! You can't make this stuff up.

Corporate Radio is not news!

WSPD will not inform Northwest Ohio. WSPD is corporate radio.

What WSPD won't report: Ed Schultz in Toledo

Visit for

WSPD, The Mackinac Center, and Big Brother

On March 23rd WSPD had yet another corporate funded think tank, The Mackinac Center for Public Policy on the Fred LeFebvre morning show. The Mackinac Center is funded by wealthy corporations including the Koch Brothers.
Now we find the corporate right wing is consolidating its control to route out any opposition to their radical agenda.

Wolfman review: “Kids Aren’t Cars,” sponsored by WSPD dismal failure

Empty Theater Pictures, Images and Photos
“Kids Aren’t Cars,” documentary sponsored by WSPD radio and highlighted in the Toledo Free Press was a roaring failure. Empty seats adorn the Maumee Indoor Theatre last night. A virtual no show by Toledo. Just goes to show WSPD is entertainment only. No one takes the station seriously. Wolfman gives it (1) star.

Chicken Sh*t Fred!

Brian Wilson didn't make the Top One Hundred Talk Radio Host List of 2011

Brian Wilson WSPD didn't make the Top "Heavy Hundred" Talk Radio Host List of 2011!
His former coworker Rush Limbaugh comes in number one (1) leaving Wilson somewhere down in the bottom (250). Thom Hartmann of 1310 WDTW-AM Detroit's Progressive Talk noon to 3:00 comes in at number eighth (8). Ed Schultz of 1310 WDTW-AM Detroit's Progressive Talk 3:00 to 6:00 PM comes in ninth (9) giving Wilson's (250) time slot a run for the money. Fred Lefebvre WSPD did not make the list but WJR 760 Paul W Smith 5:30 to 9:00 AM did make the list.

Mr. Wilson assaulted???

I heard from a friend of mind who is an avid WSPD listener and frustrated that he had called Brian's show on Monday and was hung up on while he was still talking to the host. He said that he heard BW was allegedly assaulted. Is this true?

WSPD blows Saturday weather warning

WSPD gave no real warning to Saturday's bad weather that I know of. While they (WSPD) were enjoying the weekend off the other news outlets were working overtime. K100 and WTVG Toledo News13 & WTOL TV Toledo News11 gave us the best coverage probably I've ever seen. Blizzard Bill Spencer was outstanding in his coverage and probably saved lives. WSPD's 5000 watts of wasted lack of coverage again shows that "The News Station" is anything but!

NEWS: Brian Wilson states he's out at WSPD (gives two week notice on air June 1st)

First it was the swamp gas now we hear Brian Wilson moves to another position (his words) out of town (announced on the morning show). After five years at WSPD Brian Wilson hopefully moves on relieving Toledo of the controversial extreme right wing talk show host. Hopes for Toledo that WSPD finds its roots as a news talk station, fair and balanced, and not a partisan wing of the republican party.

Blatant Media Plug For WSPD Morning Show-Read At Your Own Risk

This week Jack Smith will be on Wednesday to discuss his run for the House seat currently held by Marcy Kaptur, Friday Rich Iott will be in to do the same. Should be fun.

Poverty in America

I sent the following E-mail to Fred at WSPD.
"Magna Toledo expansion: The jobs will pay an average of $13.46 an hour for assembly workers and $19.46 an hour for skilled-trades workers, city officials said.
WOW! How many families will be able to support their families on that wage? Those jobs will pay no taxes to support your Toledo government."

Toledo Blade Letters to the Editor
Mayoral candidate Ben Konop can be commended for saying he chooses to take the high ground and not respond to the abuse being dished out by WSPD Radio. The issue that really should be looked at has less to do with Mr. Konop than the cynical and condescending commentary masquerading as news that is so frequently heard on WSPD.

Racist Right Wing Extreme Radio- Can be heard on WSPD 1370AM

Right shuffles race card into ‘stealth reparations’
Clarence Page
I thought slavery reparations were a dead issue by now. Glenn Beck set me straight.
The radio talk show host and Fox News Channel star says President Barack Obama’s proposed health care overhaul is really “stealth reparations,” a form of racial payback in Beck’s world by another name.
I am not making this up. On his radio program last month and in a video floating around the Web, Beck argues that Obama’s announced opposition to reparations is only a smoke screen for his “stealth” support. (MORE)

Ben Konop Receiving Threats - IS WSPD Involved?

Armed deputy guards are providing security for Mayoral Candidate Ben Konop. According to an article in the Toledo Blade as well as being reported by WTOL News, WSPD radio host Brian Wilson broadcasted Konop's personal cell phone number over the air.

In addition, a man approached Konop inside Government Center, and he had a knife in his waist band.

The WSPD Mob's New Target: Congresswoman Marcy Kaptur

Replacing the WSPD ratings hit Mayor Carty Finkbeiner has now moved into high gear. The new target, Congresswoman Marcy Kaptur has now been targeted by the libertarian thugs at extreme radio. Fort Apache has circled the wagons rallied the angry white males and unleashed the dogs of Northwest Ohio to any political rally of ear shot.
More shameless promotion:

Carty must be causing Monroe County Malaise !

WSPD Extreme Radio- Investigate Carty Finkbeiner causing economic dysfunction in Monroe County.

County safe from layoffs -- for now
by Joshua Kennedy
Evening News staff writer , July 08. 2009
The Monroe County Board of Commissioners got some harsh news Tuesday, but employees across the county can breathe a sigh of relief, at least for now.
The board now may have a plan that can eliminate - at least this year - layoffs.

Brian Wilson gone from WSPD

I am hearing from some other bloggers that there is going to be big changes at WSPD.
Has anyone else heard anything?
