since we have been posting a lot about drunk driving, i saw another article to add to the discussions..... no, i usually don't follow celebrity stories, but i liked the creative punishment in this one.
Lohan to work in morgue as punishment
LOS ANGELES - Lindsay Lohan is about to see dead people.
The 21-year-old actress will soon be working at a morgue as part of her punishment for misdemeanor drunken driving, her attorney, Blair Berk, told a judge Thursday.
She has also spent two months in rehabilitation and has done some community service, Berk said at a hearing on her progress toward fulfilling the terms of her plea bargain.
Her two four-hour days at the morgue are part of a court-ordered program to show drivers the real-life consequences of drinking and driving. She must also spend two days working in a hospital emergency room.
Lohan was arrested twice last year on DUI charges and pleaded guilty in August to misdemeanor drunken driving and cocaine charges. She has already served 84 minutes in jail as part of the plea deal.

so, what is appropriate punishment for drunk driving? do you think this would work?
It sounds better than what they are doing in Waverly, Ohio. Down there, they are accepting $1,000 "donations" to the police department in order to drop the DUI charges.
I think its a good idea. Maybe seeing the victims of drunk drivers up close and personal would have hit the lesson home.
They should have sent her out here when that family of five was taken to the morgue. I'll bet seeing that baby would have put her off drinking and driving in a heartbeat
At least Kiefer Sutherland had to serve out his whole sentence. (Was released earlier this week.) I think 45-ish days? He was in jail over both his birthday and Christmas.
Apparently, the only celebrities who get off with the 84 minute jail terms are the young and female?
