LSU #1, Alabama #2, Houston jumps to #3: American Heartland Bar and Grill College Football Top 30

Overranked:
Virginia Tech. (BCS - 5)
-Signature win against 8-4 Virginia. 20 point loss to Clemson. Eeked out 14-10 win against Duke.

Arkansas (BCS- 8)
-should never have been ranked in the top 10 in the first place. Non-conference schedule stinks. Why are they still in top 10?

Oregon (BCS- 9)
-It's a good thing USC isn't eligible for the Pac12 this year because they may be the best team in the league right now. Oregon's non-conference schedule, LSU withstanding, wasn't the greatest (2-9 Missouri State??).

Underranked:
Houston. (BCS- 6)

American Heartland Bar and Grill College Football Top 30- Week 7

Well, well, well...the nightmare scenario for the BCS is beginning to play itself out. We are staring down the real possibility that the title game couldl be two SEC teams- LSU and Alabama.

Oregon (9-2) lost to USC but still holds the head to head tiebreaker over Stanford (10-1) in the PAC-12 North. If Oregon defeats Oregon State, Stanford is locked out of the PAC-12 title game and theoretically out of the national championship game.

The Big 10 is out of the picture.

LSU, Oklahoma State, and Oklahoma Maintain 1-2-3 Rankings: Week 6 American Heartland Bar and Grill College Football Rankings

The top four went unscathed over the weekend. But that can't be said about Stanford, Boise State, and Penn State.

How far up the rankings will Oregon jump after defeating previously unbeaten Stanford?

How for down the rankings will Boise State fall after another missed field goal ends their BCS title hopes?

And with the defeat of Stanford and Boise there is now only three unbeaten teams left: LSU, Oklahoma State, and Houston. Can Houston move past Boise State towards the top 5?

Auburn #1, TCU #2: American Heartland Bar and Grill College Football Top 50- Week 14

Auburn clear #1. TCU edges out Boise State for the #2 slot. Oregon at #4. Again, this is based solely on wins and losses and what a team does on the field- period. It’s not biased like the BCS is towards the power conferences. TCU’s strength of schedule is better than Oregon’s- period. Boise State’s SOS is significantly better than Oregon’s- period. Boise’s lone loss is to a 12 win Nevada team that destroyed Cal by 21 points earlier in the year.

Michigan State #5, Wisconsin #6, and Ohio State #7.

Last week’s Big 12 log jam at #2 broken up with Missouri and Oklahoma losses. TCU, Boise State, and Oklahoma State are the beneficiaries and move into the Top 4 behind clear #1 Auburn. Oregon, the fourth unbeaten team left in the country, leaps 8 places to #8.

Auburn #1, Missouri, Nebraska, and Oklahoma tied for #2: American Heartland Bar and Grill College Football Top 30- Week 9

Three way tie for second place in the rankings. Why? Nebraska defeated Missouri this weekend. Missouri defeated Oklahoma last weekend. Oklahoma defeated Nebraska a couple weeks ago. Even with the loss, Missouri's ranking still came out at 4.00. Both Oklahoma and Nebraska were moved up accordingly.

Oregon checkpoint nets four arrests

Oregon (again!) held another DUI checkpoint, this time just east of I-280 near St. Charles Hospital on Friday. They stopped all traffic for four hours Friday afternoon and evening on Navarre Ave. (St Rt. 2) to check over 1,100 drivers. The checkpoint netted 4 arrests for outstanding warrants and 12 citations for other violations. But no DUIs. When will the madness stop?
