I clicked on the link this morning for ToledoTalk.com and had no problem, but now when I click, I get a whole completely different site.

Did I miss a memo?

6/14 First about the results: I just got back from the meeting, Jon Stainbrook did win the chairmanship. Matthew Bartow was nominated as the interim chair which was sad Stainbrook associates himself with the corruption he says he wants to clean house of. I guess it depends on who is helping you right? The vote was around 87/100.

Refuse Update

The actions of the Toledo Public Schools these past two weeks has been anything but exemplary. Let’s start with the Start High school graduation. And today we have another reporting the city government gives the management of Southwyck 72 hours to ensure the public is protected from the areas contaminated with asbestos and mold. Is this just another ploy to gain control of the dying mall?

It's 10 AM, and I'm getting antsy. When my garbage was collected on Wednesdays I would heard the garbage truck wheezing up (hydralics?) between 8:00 and 8:30 AM, and I would get up to make sure the garbage men didn't leave busted bags in their wake (maybe once did I have a complaint). When I saw that we were changing to Monday collection it was just another thing to remember.

I came home today, apparently the City stopped by, because we had new 96 gallon cans for the automated trash pickup pilot. While I like this, I was surprised because I did not think we were in the test area. I have attached photos and a scan of some of the brochures that were included with the cans. My initial impression was they were large, as tall as our grill.

Any thoughts on the interview with John Foley on the Toledo View?

We have done an extensive study of The Toledo Plan and feel that it should be abolished as it is supposed to rid the school system of “bad” veteran teachers through evaluation, instead it is being used to rid the school system of first year teachers through peer mentoring. Its target, primarily, is the non traditional first year teacher.

It has come to this. I believe it's time to stock up on ammunition, all of manking has gone completely mad.

I found this, not my words - but it sounded interesting.

Doesn't it seem a bit odd that the economy dived with smoking bans and tax hikes as they spread. The mortgage crunch (loan problem) is actually at 30% of the mortgage problems (per a news report here).

Page 7 of Monday, March 17 Peach section has a huge article titled "Who is to blame for weight problems; society or ourselves?". (This article is absent from the Blade website.)It says that eating is an automatic response, and it isn't people's fault if they are fat. That the fault lies with the food manufactures, grocery stores, food vendors, restaurants, etc.

Here we go again. The sewer is collapsing in the same place it did last June. I have been calling the City about it since early Febuary. As of Today...a 20' section of City owned land is a hazzard and my plumbing is backing up. Any rain at this point will likely cause another flood of my home. To say the least.... I'm Angry.
