Obama were talking this morning about the bloggers who are hitting Sarah Palin hard, and others who are hitting Obama hard, about his ties to the islamic world, and then Obama, giving credit to his presidential opponent said “John McCain has not talked about my muslim faith.” Whoops! “You know what I mean . . . .

This story is done a little with tongue in cheek and a little serious. Keybank's system is down and has been for a few hours. Therefore when I went to get a $5.00 pizza for the children's after school snack, my debit card denied the transaction.

More Property Taxes ! ?? Come on. A Levy was just passes in Oregon, Toledo and many other areas. Now the same areas want more. We were told that the problem was down in Columbus. And they would fix it. Did this happen? NO!

Now they want just more Taxes. NO!

We need a NO Means NO Law. That once a levy is turned down it cannot be on to vote for 2 years.

When will enough be enough, Carty?

Haven't you driven off enough tax revenue to benefit your neighbors? And you can't figure out why Toledo dosen't have any money to support your pet projects? And who are you to worry about what is going on in someone's bedroom?

I can't believe that the Sheriff's department is under investigation by the FBI. They have been the epitome of perfection in the last 15 years. Guns getting smuggled in, drugs, mistaken releases, deputies now serving behind bars, those are nothing but little blips on such an impeccable record. Someone please pinch me.

What motivates our mayor? Power. He feeds on the rush he gets from being in front of the camera, in front of a crowd, in front of a project. When he's not, he's petulant, vindictive, angry, abusive.

The city wants to tout their doubling recycling rates. I call bullshit. First off they extorted... errrr forced people into recycling. Through graduating fees and their automatic sign up for those involved in the automated trash program. So the stated numbers are teasing if not outright lies. Falsely reporting them on the week the Bloomers is very self serving.

Beating the Census Bureau a few days before the official number comes out. Carty announces that the City of Toledo has more than 300K people. That he magically found 4000 under estimated people. Then the bureau releases their claim. While I know getting an actually headcount is extremely difficult. Who is right ? And. Who cares ? Are we suppose to believe the number that came out first?

If only our oil companies had somewhere to drill in the US, we could lessen our demand for foreign oil.

Intermodal freight transportation is exploding around the country and Northwest Ohio is well-placed and well-equipped to handle cargo for the tri-state area. However, we need to be smart about how we encourage development around resources like Toledo Express. Governmental agencies like the Port Authority are working to entice logistics companies into building intermodal terminals at TOL, but they also must determine which development prospects are practical and which proposals will only drain the area's limited infrastructure improvement budget. After reviewing Brian McMahon's proposal, I feel it qualifies as the latter for the following reasons.

An Adrian man accused of killing five members of a Maryland family in a wrong-way crash on I-280 will enter a plea Friday in Lucas County Common Pleas Court.

Only in the Lucas County Judicial System can you kill an entire family, get caught red-handed at the scene and get a plea deal.

We have done an extensive study of The Toledo Plan and feel that it should be abolished as it is supposed to rid the school system of “bad” veteran teachers through evaluation, instead it is being used to rid the school system of first year teachers through peer mentoring. Its target, primarily, is the non traditional first year teacher.
