Having an issue with Swampbubbles. Ever since this article was posted "SNL Parody of Press Bias, Obama vs Hillary Debate" I have not been able to complete loading of the site. My side bars will not load and I cannot see any comments unless I work my way around it by going to an article posted after the above forementioned.

At the risk of attracting the wrong crowd through a google search, we need to come up with some new slogans and sayings for potential development into a T-shirt. If we get some Osamas or other odd names creating accounts, we may have to pull a plug on this. Being this is a not-for-profit site, I will not make any money off of them, but it may be worth the effort to add to the cafe press area.

but that would not be true. The access denied error was a result of popularity, not a well planned conspiracy. The reason the site was down was because you have made it so popular the Web host noticed (which is not a good thing). You may notice some things turned off because I had to be a good neighbor and I will slowly re-implement features as the site is fine tuned.

I have made several updates to the Web site. First the HTML Rich Text editor is even better than before. If you have not enabled it, you can do so. I am using it now and it is so much nicer. You can turn it on by going to "My Account" , click on the "Edit" tab, then right at the top, there is TinyMCE Rich Text settings. You can enable it there.

Some belated news: Last week, through your discussion and posting of articles since the site's inception, our Google ranking went from a 3 to a 4. Yes that sounds small on a scale of 10, but it is hard to move up a number and it is a result of the interest that has been drawn here. This score does not raise over night or in a weeks time, but is the result of 6-12 months of activity.

Many times, people think I am sitting on the site 24/7 reading every single byte that passes through the server. That is not true. I have received many comments recently wondering how I allow certain things. I probably only read 30% of the stuff posted here. Some stuff just does not interest me, while other things may. I chime in where I need, and the stuff that is not interesting I just ignore.

So I have made a few improvements in the last couple of days, including the ability to log in with your username or e-mail address, a log in screen instead of a generic Access denied page, a new Bookmark feature where you can bookmark the stories that interest you, and the Ignore User option where you can choose to ignore a user's content.

I recently made 3 changes:
1. I created some local groups based upon location, which will allow you to talk about area specific news and events.
2. "Recent Comments" on steroids.

The Toledo View is a new media outlet available online!!! It consist of breaking news, editorials, citizen views, comics, classifieds and much more!!!!! It has something for the entire family...it even has a page designed for kids!!!

Has the format of Swampbubbles changed - so only a small few topics are posted now?

I finally have more info. on the new online paper!!!!!!! I tried to tell you that is was not a joke!!!!!

The paper is coming!!!!!

The online paper will be released to the public on Monday, March 31, 2008.

The name of the paper is called, "The Toledo View."

I was talking with a friend, and he told me that he heard there is a new newspaper coming to Toledo in April. He said the release date is going to be on March 31.

I hear it is going to be a community paper with all types of news…but the paper is going to be strictly online.
