I attended a meeting this afternoon at the Wood County offices to hear about the Intermodal facility being built in North Baltimore. This is not a dream, it is a reality. A big, fat, $80 million reality for Wood County. There were a number of Lucas County people there from the private sector, I saw none that I recognized from the Toledo administration or Lucas County.

It's not easy to think for yourself sometimes. Often it's easier to listen to the people "in charge" tell you what they want you to believe without any critical questions being asked. No one wants to appear to be an ass after all. But without the critical questions and often negative appraisal we are left with people following like lambs to the slaughter.

After reading the entire business plan and attending the council meeting Tuesday, I am more convinced than ever that the ESM is not a viable business. The plan as written by a recent grad of UT contains no real specifics on how the plan will be implemented but rather is a rehash of ideas tried within the last dozen years.

Chris, I have watched the postings of the two rasio hosts with sime concern. Both Troy and Fred are paid for the work thry are promoting on this blog. How do you feel about this? How do others out thre feel?

This morning on the most listened to talk show in Northwest Ohio Brian McMahon laid out the reasons an intermodal facility for this area is critical. Thousancs of jobs and millions of dollars await this area if the constant bickering between city-county-township can be set aside.
