DETROIT - General Motors Corp. and Chrysler LLC have held preliminary talks about a merger or an acquisition of Chrysler by GM, according to published reports.

DEARBORN, Mich. — AAA Michigan says gasoline prices have fallen about 28 cents a gallon over the past week to a statewide average of $3.89.

Gas prices had risen quickly across the country with Hurricane Ike leaving refineries and pipelines idled and destroying offshore platforms in the Gulf of Mexico. But prices eased amid the hurricane cleanup.

You might not know it looking across the topographically-challenged lakeside landscape, but there's probably oil under Oregon.

Bowling Green, too. And Cygnet, and Lima, and a whole crescent-shaped swath of northwest Ohio. There's also some under southern Michigan.

It is no shocker, but a respected Wall Street ratings service claims that Toledo, most of Ohio, and all but one metro area in Michigan are in a recession, and have been for a while.

Hey I found this interesting.... I thinking about a new car, one that gets a little better mileage than my current Ford. I've had Hondas in the past, always had good luck with them. For the record, my Ford has been just as reliable, but the Focus doesn't look good to me. So I thought I'd look at a Honda again. The two Toledo dealers don't have many on their lots, the Civic is popular.

It is hard to tell what is going on but you can see enough to get an idea. The activity is seriously illegal and sick; he must resign. Kwame Kilpatrick blames his attention on a media lynch mob mentality, forgetting that he lied under oath and right now who knows what else he did (allegations of murder, sex, parties, affairs, hiding public documents from the public, spending on tax payer money on personal items, favoring friends in business dealings, yada yada yada not really serious right?).
