Toledo Municipal Court judges file petition in fund fight

The months-long battle between Toledo Municipal Court judges and Toledo city officials over the court's budget is now in the hands of another set of judges.

The seven municipal court judges filed a petition in Ohio's 6th District Court of Appeals Thursday against the city, Mayor Carty Finkbeiner, and the 12 members of city council.

You can tell it is an election year. Now state Reps are encouraging Cubbon to accept the union.

Ohio's top court to mull cities' worker residency rules

COLUMBUS - The Ohio Supreme Court yesterday agreed to mull the issue of whether cities may require their employees to live within their borders.

The court agreed to hear appeals of rulings involving the cities of Lima and Akron that struck down a 2006 state law prohibiting residency mandates when it comes to most city employees.

Breaking news story from the Toledo Free Press that Brian Schwartz has hired legal representation in relation to his being suspended for 15 days without pay for unprofessional conduct and other possible incidents of his rights being violated by both Mayor Carty Finkbeiner and Chief of Staff Bob Reinbolt. He’s hired local attorney R. Kevin Greenfield.
