Hey I found this interesting.... I thinking about a new car, one that gets a little better mileage than my current Ford. I've had Hondas in the past, always had good luck with them. For the record, my Ford has been just as reliable, but the Focus doesn't look good to me. So I thought I'd look at a Honda again. The two Toledo dealers don't have many on their lots, the Civic is popular.

In recent weeks, the auto maker has had discussions with Tata Motors about having the company sell and possibly assemble Jeeps in India, these people said.

General Motors will try to cut expenses by $15 billion by the end of next year through a combination of job reductions, production slowdowns, terminated retiree benefits and salary freezes, the company said yesterday.

Talk about deflating the good news of the productivity of the plant, the Detroit Free Press has run some articles on the high number of discrimination and harassment complaints at the North Toledo Jeep plant.

Chrysler announced plans Monday to invest nearly $28 million in its Toledo Machining Plant.

"Chrysler's investments in the Toledo area are rooted in our faith that we can keep good-paying manufacturing jobs in America as long as government, our unions and our companies all pull together for the common good," Chrysler President and Vice Chairman Tom LaSorda said in a statement.

You only lose 15 hrs of your life in Toledo traffic. It could be worse. Looking at the rankings, Toledo is near the bottom in lost time due to congestion (which is good).

Columbus was Ohio’s most congested city with 33 hours of annual delay per traveler, followed by Cincinnati (27), Dayton (17), Toledo (15), Cleveland (13), and Akron (10).

The upkeep and rent of the decaying building are understood to be factors which have led Rolls Royce to want to shift production to Ohio, USA, where according to Unite the company pays a peppercorn rent of $1 (50p) a year.

An Ann Arbor-based environmental group releases its rankings today of the best and worst child car safety seats when it comes to exposing children to potentially dangerous chemicals.

Chrysler Group have hired Morpheus Capital Advisors to advise them on a possible bid for the company, Morpheus President Mitchell Gordon said on Friday.

The boutique investment-banking firm, based in New York, is advising the group comprised of salaried and hourly workers.

DETROIT (Reuters) -- Representatives of billionaire investor Kirk Kerkorian are seeking a meeting with a group of Chrysler workers proposing an employee-led buyout of the automaker to consider some form of a cooperation, a person familiar with the effort said on Friday.

Magna International Inc., Canada's largest auto-parts maker, said it's exploring DaimlerChrysler AG's potential sale of Chrysler.

Magna "continues to review potential alternatives regarding the future of the Chrysler Group," according to a statement Friday. The Aurora, Ontario, supplier said there's no assurance that an accord will be reached and didn't say whether it had bid.

DETROIT - General Motors Corp. is in talks to buy the Chrysler Group in its entirety, Automotive News reported Friday, citing unnamed sources in Germany and the United States.

The automotive trade publication reported on its Web site that high-level talks were talking place between GM and Chrysler Group parent DaimlerChrysler AG...
