Dr. Kevorkian elevated to sainthood?

Could it be? Is it possible? Did I hear that right?

I couldn't believe my ears when I tuned into 60 minutes last night and was actually hearing the advocating for limited health care for the terminally ill patients in the ICU. After all they are just going to die anyway. It's a "natural progression".

My sister in law (laid off from GM) said she saw on the news that employee paychecks from Chrysler bounced. Did anybody else see or hear this? (she also said that her health benefits were just cut, she's been laid off for a month so far).

Zoo's are EXPRESSLY NOT allowed to receive stimulus money - yet they apply

What's the deal with the Toledo Zoo applying for federal stimulus money since all Zoo's are expressly denied to receive funds for the stimulus package? If you read section 1109 of the package it clearly states that Zoo's are not allowed to receive money! What is Anne Baker thinking? I called WNWO after their story about this and all I got was a "we are just reporting about the Zoo applying for funds" It just makes no sense!!

Toledo's Weight Loss "Czar" had lap-band surgery.

I was initially taken aback by the photo of this very large man who was to be named Lucas County "weight loss czar" but thought, "Oh, maybe he'll lose a lot of weight through a healthy combination of diet & exercise and inspire tons of folks to do the same". Sounds great, right?

Shooting?/Strange Incident at Best Buy parking lot on Monroe...?

Me and my wife were leaving the Kroger at Monroe and Secor tonight around 10:30 pm, and saw a lot of young people all over - in the Kroger parking lot, and across Monroe Street. We weren't sure what was going on, but my wife saw a girl who was being helped up by 3 people in the Best Buy parking lot, but she was to weak to stay up. The police showed up as we were trying to exit Kroger (along with a fire truck).

I can't wait until this is all over. Don't even care who wins - just want it to be over.

FCC Commissioner: Return of Fairness Doctrine Could Control Web Content

Better not!

There’s a huge concern among conservative talk radio hosts that reinstatement of the Fairness Doctrine would all-but destroy the industry due to equal time constraints. But speech limits might not stop at radio. They could even be extended to include the Internet and “government dictating content policy.”

SB Issue

Having an issue with Swampbubbles. Ever since this article was posted "SNL Parody of Press Bias, Obama vs Hillary Debate" I have not been able to complete loading of the site. My side bars will not load and I cannot see any comments unless I work my way around it by going to an article posted after the above forementioned.

The Marine Miscommunication

I live downtown. Friday afternoon an elderly woman who lives in my building was extremely scared because she believed a "terrorist incident" occurred a few blocks away. As the panic quickly spread through the building, I investigated and found out that it was simply a military exercise being set-up but I hadn’t heard anything about it either. Not one thing.
