Tonight could be the first major blow that ends the primaries

Tonight could be the first really major knockout blow in both primaries.

We're finally getting into winner-take-all states with a huge ammount of delegates.

Normally this is done by Super Tuesday but on both sides it's been just close enough to keep this interesting.

Michigan and Florida are the big ones. They hold a lot of delegates. Trump leads in both as does Hillary.

For the Democrats those two states make up almost 350 delegates or 14% needed. For the GOP they make up 160 delegates almost 13%.

Are you experiencing the Northern Cities Vowel shift?

Are you experiencing the Northern Cities Vowel Shift?

Apparently this is happening around the Great Lakes cities. The way we speak is changing because people from the Great Lakes area are changing the way they pronounce several vowels.

State vs Local salares. Interesting graphics

I stumbled across this.

It's a guy who compared state government salaries opposed to local government salaries. He broke it down by industry.

I haven't reached a judgement on it. I just found it interesting. Feel free to look at it.

Where could you see Ron Paul in a GOP Cabinet?

Benjamin Netanyahu seeks cabinet support for Israeli strike on Iran....

Mr Netanyahu pushing for a military strike on Iran, Do you support this strike or not and why? Keep in mind that the U.S. is already attacking Iran through terrorist proxies..

Bin Laden Dead? Where is the Body?

I get very suspicious when someone dies and there is no body. They say the body was buried at sea. For all we know Bin Laden has got a new face, a new identity, and smoking weed in Detroit - compliments of some of his buddies here in the West. I want to see the proof.

Anyone Have Problems Reading The New Font?

Maybe it's just me, but I'm having difficulty reading the large font now being used here. It actually gives me a headache trying to read it. Oh well.

Waterloo, for whom?

Conservatives and Republicans today suffered their most crushing legislative defeat since the 1960s.

It’s hard to exaggerate the magnitude of the disaster. Conservatives may cheer themselves that they’ll compensate for today’s expected vote with a big win in the November 2010 elections. But:

(1) It’s a good bet that conservatives are over-optimistic about November – by then the economy will have improved and the immediate goodies in the healthcare bill will be reaching key voting blocs.

(2) So what? Legislative majorities come and go. This healthcare bill is forever. A win in November is very poor compensation for this debacle now.

So far, I think a lot of conservatives will agree with me. Now comes the hard lesson:

A huge part of the blame for today’s disaster attaches to conservatives and Republicans ourselves.

Does anyone have links to the candidate's website?

Reformers Unanimous International

I was just told by a friend of mine about an addictions program at Lewis Avenue Baptist Church called Reformers Unanimous International. It is held every Friday at 7:00 p.m. The founder and president of RUI is named Steve Curington. From what I was told Curington is shown at the beginning of each meeting in a video. My friend says he appears to be a wild-eyed nut who claims divine intervention from God and that God showed him how to create this program. Curington and his cohorts claim to have a 75% success rate of "curing" people of substance abuse problems.

Blade Recognizes African American Trailblazers

This morning's Toledo Blade discusses African American's who were trailblazers in Toledo. Indeed, all of them were and some still are. There is something visually wrong with the article. Most people think in pictures, and, the first thing a reader sees after the headline is three African American women. Notice, there is no photo of an African American Male with the headline. I wonder if this is an attempt to be politically gracious or is it another attempt by the media to down-play the African American Male in Toledo.

Could this spell big changes for WSPD and WCWA?

The new owners of radio giant Clear Channel Communications will next week begin implementing a massive restructuring plan that seeks to cut $400 million in costs at the company, The Post has learned.

According to three sources with knowledge of the plan, the restructuring will include layoffs across the company's radio, outdoor advertising and international divisions as well as cuts to programming budgets and consolidation of back-office operations.

A precise headcount for the layoffs could not be obtained. Clear Channel has about 30,000 employees worldwide.

Obama overkill?

When I learned of this up-coming spot some weeks back, my initial thought was 'too much' and probably 'unneccessary'. After three Prez. debates and wall-to-wall ads since Labor Day, this could well be over-exposure:

Troy Neff Show: Is the worst over?

The bad economic news is dominating discussion on the campaign trail and in many houses across the country. Troy Neff, morning radio host on WCWA 1230 AM, asks the simple question without an easy answer in this edition of Rant and Rave - is the worst over?

Should be an interesting Monday, stock-wise and otherwise...

I wish I could say I had a firm grasp of where the truth lies here, but when a guy like Buffett says its so, maybe we outta listen:
