Justice Dept.: FBI Misused Patriot Act

Read very, very carefully. There is an affirmation of many claims that have been made over the last few years. The FBI Director says he is to 'blame' for this. That seems to me to be an acknowledgment (?)

Westhaven Disposition Order is Final/Hearing Notes

Judge Zmuda received this case when Judge Osowik moved to a different position. This was the first hearing this Judge held.

There were 30 names on the sign in sheet - some were investors, the balance attorneys. One defendant attorney identified herself.

Schools teach private ownership is evil

Jesuschrist. Look at this crap. Our country is falling apart intellectually.

A ban was initiated at the Hilltop Children's Center in Seattle. According to an article in the winter 2006-07 issue of "Rethinking Schools" magazine, the teachers at the private school wanted their students to learn that private property ownership is evil.

Rules don't apply to me

Note: I release all photos on this page from copyright. Use and duplicate as you wish.

After today's retreat, when I left the building, I noticed one of our board members parked in a handicap spot (see photos). I guess rules don't apply to that board member. A lot more happened at the meeting, but that will be in a different report.

Can you guess which one it was? Yes, you were right Larry Sykes. Maybe he has a handicap sticker in his car, I did not see one. So take this as you want. I will tell you I have never seen him park in a handicap spot at board meetings.

Father Robinson Dodges A Bullet

The civil suite against Father Robinson and associates (Catholic Church, etc.) has been dismissed due to a statute of limitations. As much as I'd like to see this case taken to trial, I don't think it ever will be. Moreover, the allegations are very strange, to say the least. Has anyone ever heard of a satanic abuse case that was definitely proven? Even if the statute for a civil case has expired, what about criminal charges? Has the statute expired there as well?

$1.87 a gallon

I just filled up my gas tank at $1.87 a gallon. OMG, somebody pinch me; wake me up! Can this really be true or is it just a dream?

H.R. 3 - Promoting Life-Saving Stem Cell Research http://clerk.house.gov/evs/2007/roll020.xml

The DeGette-Castle stem cell research bill increases the number of lines of stem cells that are eligible to be used in federally-funded research. The bill authorizes Health and Human Services (HHS) to support research involving embryonic stem cells meeting certain criteria, regardless of the date on which the stem cells were derived from an embryo. Current policy allows federal funds to be used for research only on those stem cell lines that existed when President Bush issued an executive order on August 9, 2001. The bill only authorizes the use of stem cell lines generated from embryos that would otherwise be discarded by fertility clinics. The bill includes stronger ethical guidelines than the President
