Air Force One Photo-Op

NEW YORK (CNN) -- A White House official apologized Monday after a low-flying Boeing 747 spotted above the Manhattan skyline frightened workers and residents into evacuating buildings. Witnesses reported seeing the plane circle over the Upper New York Bay near the Statue of Liberty. The huge aircraft, which functions as Air Force One when the president is aboard, was taking part in a classified, government-sanctioned photo shoot, the Federal Aviation Administration said.

Christian right's mailings depict disastrous future under Obama

Terrorist strikes on four American cities. Russia rolling into Eastern Europe. Israel hit by a nuclear bomb. Gay marriage in every state. The end of the Boy Scouts.
All are plausible scenarios if Democrat Barack Obama is elected president, according to a new addition to the campaign conversation called "Letter from 2012 in Obama's America," produced by the conservative Christian group Focus on the Family Action.

The imagined look into the future is part of an escalation in rhetoric from Christian right activists who are trying to paint Obama in the worst possible terms as the campaign heads into the final stretch and polls show the Democrat ahead.

Not everybody in Alaska loves Sarah Palin - wow. A rally of people with signs saying "Mcsame", and "Keep Hockey Mom Out Of D.C.", and "Palin is G.W. Bush with Lipstick", and "Voted for her once, never again." Lots of Obama endorcement.

Palin and Alaskan Independence (not Independents)

I’m Governor Sarah Palin and I am delighted to welcome you to the 2008 Alaskan Independence Party Convention in the golden heart city of Fairbanks. Your party plays an important role in our state’s politics. I’ve always said that competition is so good, and that applies to political parties as well. I share your party’s vision of upholding the constitution of our great state.

New Mexico Accused of Violating "Free Exorcise of Religion"

I have been putting off posting this article for a couple weeks (at least). The reason being because it just seems like all I can ever talk about are the negative things happening in this world today and how it relates to Christians being persecuted or discriminated against. Well, I guess I keep talking about it because it's important to me and I feel very strongly about it.

A stabbing at Start High School.

Two students were stabbed today at Start High School and the school is on lock down. I don't know the extent of the injuries but it is ironic that this would happen at a good school after passage of Issue #7.
