It is my belief that Republicans during the 2008 Presidential Election planned to finish wrecking the U.S. Economy so that their buddies could get richer for pennies on the dollar.. Of course we all know they didn't succeed, but they are still at it. This 2016 election year we have the same problem, but we will able to go play golf in Scotland!
Would Some Politicians Want To Wreck The U.S. Economy So They Can Get Richer For Pennies On The Dollar?
Like most Republicans, Todd Grayson doesn't know when to shut his mouth (or shut off his computer and smartphone) when it comes to things like domestic violence and womens' rights.
No one ever said the people in the Obama administration were smart (Right, VP Biden?).
But you'd think that someone as seasoned as Secretary of State John Kerry would know not to say things he might regret while mic'ed up for an interview!
From the Washington Free Beacon:
All you need to do is look at their recent comments with their hateful attitude and gay slurs. What fine members we have here. This board is nothing more than a Conservative echo-chamber hate-fest, unmoderated and unpoliced.
"If you have seen the stories around the globe of how cartoonists, journalists and people simply posting tweets or Facebook posts has gotten them in hot water with Islam and even the government, then you have probably said, “That can’t happen in America,” right? Well hold on to your seat my friend because you are in for a rude awakening'. https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=ERou_Q5l9Gw
KKK-Type of Intimidation’: Kansas Sec. of State Targeted by Mob Asking Prosecutors to Consider Using ‘Klan Laws’
"Kansas Secretary of State Kris Kobach (R) compared the tactics used by hundreds of protesters who marched on his home over the weekend to “KKK-type of intimidation”
Targeted for his work on combating illegal immigration, Kobach has certainly faced opposition in the past, but it has always been in public locations. Now, he says, “the left has crossed a line” by surrounding his home.

"Unfortunately the quote of the day comes from Justice Scalia who was discussing the Voting Rights Act as a racial entitlement: 'I think it is attributable, very likely attributable, to a phenomenon that is called perpetuation of racial entitlement,' Scalia said. 'Whenever a society adopts racial entitlements, it is very difficult to get out of them through the normal political processes….This is not the kind of a question you can leave to Congress. There are certain districts in the House that are black districts by law just about now.'"
Yesterday, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton answered questions before committees in both the House and Senate regarding the terrorist attack that killed U.S. Ambassador and heroic SEALs in Libya.
The problem is that Secretary Clinton actually answered nothing in my mind. When asked a pointed question about WHY the administratio n failed to identify that it was a TERRORIST attack?Clinton subsequently lied about it, shouting "What difference, at this point, does it make?"
The following story is in today's Blade: House Republicans may set aside a bill calling for the biggest reduction in food stamps for the POOR since 1996, averting a fight over cuts that critics assail as immoral during hard times, House leaders said Thursday.
Food stamps would face the largest cut, $16 billion over 10 years, in the House farm bill-$2 billion more than for farm subsidies and nearly half of all the savings in the bill. The cuts are estimated to reduce enrollment by 5 percent.
My thoughts on this bill:
Interesting column by S. AMJAD HUSSAIN of the blade in which he claimed, among other things, that "The protests did not spread to other Muslim countries, including Pakistan.."
This is far from the truth, in my opinion, and it seems odd, that this fellow would not be aware of the protests in Pakistan on Feb 23. http://www.presstv.ir/detail/228258.html

Mark the date. This is the day the Wolverines restore themselves to glory. Badgers? C'mon. The Maize 'n Blue are gonna run circles around that big fat defense. Next up? Spanking the Ohio squad named after a tree nut. Humblest apologies for not making this a rant about taxes, fees, Democrats, or our communist president. But, hey, it college football Saturday. Go Blue!
Interesting conversation with a white lady:
The scenario: A casual friend, Ms. W. Lady who has rental property in my neighborhood but lives in Ottawa Hills, drives a real spiffy vehicle and we usually speak and exchange pleasantries. We have a few things in common such as we both homeschool our children, she her grandchild and we are both about the same age (I think) and both have grey hair.
The wife and daughter of Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) were involved in a serious accident today in Virginia. Apparently Mrs. Reid has both broken neck and back, while his daughter has lesser injuries. I wish both a speedy and full recovery.
However, I must point out the irony to those here on Swampbubbles who whine about autos from foreign makers, even if they are built here in the states.
The Reids were driving a Honda Odyssey minivan.
Well, the Toledo primary elections have come and gone. We all know now who the two candidates are for the mayoral selection. Im asking myself this question. A year from now am I going to be driving a U-Haul headed toward the burbs holding hands and singing kumbuya or is Toledo going to be headed for economic recovery? I'll tell you who I'm going to vote for.
