Freedom......a price too high?
" The cloak of freedom is saturated in the blood of Patriots".
I have been pondering this for most of the day. At what point would the typical American of today be willing to give up all he had and all he will ever have or know for an idea, a belief of freedom. Would they rise to the challenge of securing the hopes and dreams of their fore fathers, for their own prodigy? Would their apathy lead them into the chains of socialism? At what point were our Revolutionary Patriots of our nations birth committed to their cause?

Does Washington know what is going on in the Country?
The Washington elite don't have an idea what the American people want or need. Obama talks about investing in new technologies, wind mills and light rail. Do we care about these?
Wind Mils have been around for hundreds of years they don't work because they are unreliable and inefficient, Who among us is asking for light rail? Trains have also been around for a long time. The automobile brought along their demise.

State of the Union-A Total Disconnect
What did everyone think of that dud last night, called a speech? The charm of last year, if one can call it that-is long GONE. He said "I" over ninety times, and "me", over forty. Harry Reid was yawning, and at best, the performance was flat, in its' entirety. And more important, the pres. maintains his hard left positions for the most part.

Just got a look at this post from the AP... http://finance.yahoo.com/news/Figures-on-government-apf-2178072020.html?... ...Correct me if I am wrong,,,but...the receipts went down...the outlay went up...and the national debt is screwed. The floated proposals will only make this worse. Yiyiyi...my great-great grandkids will be paying for this!

A Teleprompter-For Speech To Elementary Scholol Kids?
http://news.yahoo.com/nphotos/slideshow/photo//100119/480/9131bc77c75341...
This is getting patently ridiculous-The One using a teleprompter to address elementary school children? There has GOT to be something that is being carefully hidden from the American People, I'm sure about that. With the right/left/right/left/right/left head sweeps, too. "UFB", IMO!

Foreign Money in American Politics?
Some Say Supreme Court's Decision in Citizens United Case Has Opened New Path
By MATTHEW MOSK
http://abcnews.go.com/Blotter/foreign-money-american-politics/story?id=9...
Jan. 24, 2010 —
Some election lawyers believe that last week's landmark U.S. Supreme Court opinion may have opened a new avenue for foreign money to enter the American political system, and that the justices are inviting a repeat of the 1996 Chinese money scandal that bloodied the Clinton administration.

Haiti aid: China one million vs U.S. one hundred million
Is it right that our country is bankrupt but is borrowing one hundred million from China to give to Haiti? China which has a bounty of eight hundred billion of the U.S. treasury is donating a miserly one million, go figure?
Detroit with 50% unemployment and a Michigan state on the verge of bankruptcy has its Nonprofits organizing Aid to Haiti.

Supreme Court rolls back campaign spending limits
Reaction of political groups was immediate.
http://www.usatoday.com/news/washington/judicial/2010-01-21-campaign-spe...
"This decision allows Wall Street to tap its vast corporate profits to drown out the voice of the public in our democracy," said Bob Edgar, president of Common Cause, a group that favors limits on campaign spending and vowed to push swift passage of legislation in Congress to publicly finance congressional elections.

Blowout in Massachusetts!
Well, it looks like "The One" again delivers nothing-he campaigns for a liberal senator candidate, who loses the seat Kennedy held since 1970s'. No free gas, no money for car payments, no health care, no cap and trade, and of course, NO JOBS. Folks, how's that Hope and Change working out for you?

Behind the Counter Program
■All Post Offices are now participating in the Behind the Counter program. To be in compliance with this program, you must continue to keep Mover’s Guide copies behind the counter so that they are inaccessible to customers without the help of a retail associate.

What In The Hell HASN'T Been Discussed, About Race?
All I ever hear anymore is how we need some sort of "real discussion" about race. I've heard this subject of race discussed for at least fifty years now, and can't think of ANYTHING concerning the subject that HASN'T been discussed. Whatever people really mean about this idea of a 'real discussion', for some reason they don't seem to have a clue as to how to define it. At least none I've heard of. Why don't we have this so-called 'real discussion' right here, we discuss every other damn thing. Are people saying all the discussions about race so far have been phoney?

A Decade of Self-Delusion
A Decade of Self-Delusion by Pat Buchanan (Republican)
http://townhall.com/columnists/PatBuchanan/2009/12/29/a_decade_of_self-d...
About the first decade of what was to be the Second American Century, the pessimists have been proven right.
According to the International Monetary Fund, the United States began the century producing 32 percent of the world's gross domestic product. We ended the decade producing 24 percent. No nation in modern history, save for the late Soviet Union, has seen so precipitous a decline in relative power in a single decade.
