Are the recent actions of Amy Bishop and Andrew Slack a sign of the times or are they an aberration and no cause for alarm?

The life situations of both individuals were markedly similar. One was unemployed and one was scheduled for unemployment in the very near future. Both felt persecuted and took out their anger on innocent people. One shot and killed three colleagues and injuring more, the other flew his airplane into a building killing an employee and himself while injuring scores of others.

Just curious why we haven't seen a posting on Toyota's terrorist plot to kill Americans.

You wouldn't know it, but this isn't the first recall ever.

But I have a question - The federal government as well as GM are piling on. UAW is in on it too.

Is it because of the seriousness of the issue and GM wants Toyota's customers, or has this crossed the line into nationalism with shades of jingoism because Toyota is a foreign company?

In an unprecedented move, Governor Terry Shankland stepped into the fray and settled the dispute in Lucas County concerning Chairmanship of the Lucas County Republican Party.

Neither Jon Stainbrook or Jeff Simpson was appointed. In his search for the best and the brightest in Lucas County, Governor Shankland appointed CHRIS MYERS as head of the local Republican Party.

Acknowledgeing Myers' dismal political failures in his previous attempts to become elected to Toledo School Board, Governor Shankland laughed, and said " It's nowhere but up for that boy, y'all heah me ?"

With Iran threatening some sort of terrorist incident on Feb 11 and with the warning of an act of terror happening sometime in the the next 3-6 months, thought this might be a reminder and a very good reason to give extra hugs and kisses all around to those in your life who are precious and loved by you and you them.

These terrorists are arrested without charges, face life in prison etc. WITHOUT ever carrying out any acts of terror.  I always wondered what other countries did with their captured terrorists.

Pakistan to seek terror charges against Americans

Today, Pete Gerken and Tina Skeldon Wozniak denied Ben Konop's motion to remove Tom Skeldon as dog warden. (not sure if Tina had a conflict of interest there).

George Tiller, the Wichita doctor who became a national lightning rod in the debate over abortion, was shot to death this morning as he walked into church services.

Tiller, 67, was shot just after 10 a.m. at Reformation Lutheran Church at 7601 E. 13th, where he was a member of the congregation. Witnesses and a police source confirmed Tiller was the victim. (link)

Havent' seen much of this story in the media.

The single most threat to the security of America today is Rush Limbaugh. The statements that I heard him make on Thursday and Friday are statements meant to inflame and incite. He called President Obama, “Saddam Hussein Obama.” This was a very irresponsible statement and could have far reaching consequences. What is the purpose of this rhetoric, if not to bring the country to it’s knees out of spite?
