OhioCASB is proud to sponsor the April 15th Project, viewable at OpenOhio.org.
OpenOhio pledges to publish, by April 15, budgets, checkbooks and salaries for all of the 3,000 primary local governments (or taxing jurisdictions) in the state of Ohio.
Minimal financial transparency requires full internet access, using interactive databases, for budgets and expenditures. The Ohio Citizens Accounting Standards Board sponsors “OpenOhio.org” to make budgets,

Two days after the election, I drove by Scott high school, which I do a few times a day, but this time it was different. It felt like the lights had gone out. With the election of Bob Vasquez, Virginia Hill and Larry Sykes, to the school board, who will advocate for the neighborhood's high school, Jack Ford, Lisa Sobecki?
I used to live in Otsego district near Grand Rapids. The board had approved a new building without the voters' consent. So I went down there twice to pass out fliers for 3 new candidates - all 3 won !

It seems as if some politicians have taken a page from the strategy of Teamwork Toledo.
Endorsed Democrats Joe McNamara, Adam Martinez, Terry Biel, and Aji Green have banded together to spread their message of change and new ideas. They call themselves "Hungry4Change."
They will be campaigning together throughout the city.
McNamara, Martinez, and Biel are endorsed Democrats for Toledo City Council At-Large; Green is an endorsed Democrat for the Toledo Board of Education.

Well the Oregon School Board heard from the people. They voted 4-1 Not to put the levy request on the ballet this November.
The only Yes Vote was from Diane Karoly.
Wow she is just a mean BiT@H ! She was a little upset with the other Board Members for not voting yes. She stated that she was voting yes, just because she was. She did not care what the voters said or wanted.
This Bit@h has to go. Lets never vote for her again.
Call her and give her your thoughts:

The Oregon School Board wants to put the levy back on Again! Don't they understand that No means NO ? It was defeated by over 77%. 77% said NO! And of the yes votes many of those were teachers and other school workers.
NO Means NO. CALL THE SCHOOL BOARD MEMBERS AND TELL THEM NOT TO PUT THIS IN FOR A VOTE AGAIN. THAT NO is NO!

I just got back from Voting. I Voted NO. No on the Oregon Property TAX Levy! I just wish that there was a HELL-NO button!
I guess that the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. In addition to Doug and Pam Haynam who spearheaded the attempted land grab by the Sylvania city government last year, we now have Benjamin 'Bugsy' Haynam, who ended college a few credit hours short but didn't see that as a major obstacle to getting a job in Sylvania schools. Of course, Ma Haynam is on the school board – at least for now.
It is good to hear out all the candidates, but they will pick the one they want to get the seat in November. Reforms are needed in Toledo . Education is important in this economy. Go Chris Go.
