Here is the message that Sarah Palin left on my answering machine. Of course I want to believe she called me personally, but I know better. You can tell it is crunch time and that Ohio is in play. I do like how Sarah's message does not sound like she is reading it, but that she is personally making the calls.

AKRON, OH: Rows of shiny, all-American automobiles glimmered in the sun. I marvelled as their owners diligently polished all these lovingly-preserved Chevys, Fords and Plymouths.

They'd picked a glorious October morning for this classic car fair. But I couldn't help thinking there was something poignant about celebrating America's industrial past here, right in the heart of the rust belt.

The phone number on the form is that of the Jimmy John's sandwich shop in Crown Point.

NEW YORK (CNNMoney.com) -- Under a mortgage rescue plan announced at the debate Tuesday night by Senator John McCain, much of the burden of paying to keep troubled borrowers in their homes will shift to taxpayers.

ACORN's Las Vegas headquarters has been raided by Nevada authorities looking for evidence of voter fraud.

Nevada state authorities seized records and computers Tuesday from the Las Vegas office of an organization that tries to get low-income people registered to vote, after fielding complaints of voter fraud.

PBS has an online poll posted asking if Sarah Palin is
qualified. Apparently the Republicans knew about this in advance and are
flooding the voting with YES votes.

I know -- it's only a poll. But it will be reported on PBS,
picked up by mainstream media and can influence undecided voters in swing
states.
