Over 1,600 UAW members will attend the National Community Action Program Legislative Conference this week in Washington, D.C. The UAW's website describes the conference as an opportunity to "discuss the union's legislative and political priorities for the coming year, meet with members of Congress to advocate on behalf of working families and prepare for the union's 2012 electoral campaign." One gets a pretty good idea of the UAW's "political priorities" by the list of scheduled speakers including President Obama, Barney Frank, and Planned Parenthood President Cecile Richards.
This is bound to make some Ronulans very, very upset.
The gay libertarian tech investor Peter Thiel, enthusiast of post-national ocean states, backed the SuperPAC.
Honestly, I couldn't make this stuff up...even if I tried. See below the fold for the full story.
So Forbes magazine has determined that Warren Buffet's secretary--whom Obama put on display at the State of the Union Address--makes a salary of somewhere between $200,000 and $500,000. The publication took her publicized tax rate of 35% and compared it to the IRS tax tables to make that determination. Well, while beginning to compile the information for my own 1040, I couldn't help but to worry about how that poor secretary is paying more than twice the rate of her multi-billionaire boss. How does she survive? Then...
Definitely not something I expected to see headlining a page on the Ron Paul 2012 website. Similarly surprising was the statement that followed:
"As an Air Force veteran, Ron Paul believes national defense is the single most important responsibility the Constitution entrusts to the federal government."
Especially considering, as noted by Accuracy in Media, that Dr. Paul views accused traitor Bradley Manning as a "political hero" and a "true patriot." Nevermind the whole breaking of the law thing by leaking classified information. I'm guessing if you ask ten random people on the street if that sounds like a pro-America foreign policy, at least nine of them will laugh in your face. Thankfully, Ron Paul will not be the GOP nominee for president.
The danger to America is not Barack Obama but a citizenry capable of entrusting a man like him with the Presidency. It will be far easier to limit and undo the follies of an Obama presidency than to restore the necessary common sense and good judgment to a depraved electorate willing to have such a man for their president.
The problem is much deeper and far more serious than Mr. Obama, who is a mere symptom of what ails America . Blaming the prince of the fools should not blind anyone to the vast confederacy of fools that made him their prince.
I wanted to know about Ron Paul's male ancestors. The sentence from Wikipedia "At age 5, Paul worked with his brothers in the basement of the family's home, checking hand-washed milk bottles for spots" got me thinking. So I went on Ancestry.com, and looked for the census records of his father and mother. I estimated his father was born around 1905 since at age 5 (1940) Ron Paul had older siblings. Sure enough the 1930 census had Howard Caspar Paul as being born about 1905.
Remember how Obama couldn't stop singing the praises of the Chevy Volt? Obama made the BIG announcement that every person who purchased a Volt would receive a $7,500 rebate--at taxpayers' expense. So guess how many Volts were sold in 2011. No, go ahead--take a guess. 30,000? Not even close. 20,000? Come on--stop fooling around. The car that Obama believes will change the future of the automotive business sold a grand total of 7,671 in 2011! The Mackinac Center for Public Policy has calculated that the total subsidies for the Volt could add up to $3 billion.
About five months ago I posted a video, produced by the College Democrats of America, that featured a bunch of college-aged individuals explaining why they were Democrats. To say the least it was both hilarious and depressing.
So what got me thinking about that video again? During my regular reading of various blog and news sites this past week, I came across what quite possibly could be the original script for said video. In addition, as the author of the post noted, it also could be used to very accruately describe the mentality of the "occupiers".
What a hoax, and just imagine the millions that actually believe what he is saying. Did you see his intensity when he said it? What a joke, pass are bill or rapes and murder will increase. FBI statistics show a drop in crime, They used the right word when they said they wanted to be more transparent... They are very transparent to me..

On a recent Saturday afternoon while performing my husband duties of mowing the lawn I found myself contemplating the responsibilities of being a leader in the world today. Weather it be on the world or national stage or even the local stage and even on the most basic level of leading our own families. I was going to post all the various aspects of my thoughts right here for all to see, when low and behold, my old buddy Glenn Beck had what seemed to be my thoughts channeled on his Monday radio broadcast.
No surprise here. Odumbo the Socialist Empty Suit Golfer In Chief goes on vacation and the Stock Market gains ground. PROOF that the quickest way to end this recession is to impeach the commie for Treason, Bribery, or other high Crimes and Misdemeanors. The Socialist promised to "preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States."
