Toledo area to get new FM station?

Ohio media watch is reporting that BAS Broadcasting AC WPFX-FM/107.7 North Baltimore wants to move to Luckey.

The application for WPFX specifies a 5.2kW facility along I-75 just north of Bowling Green, with a 60 dBu city grade signal that cuts off just north of downtown Toledo, and just south of the suburb of Oregon. The resulting signal should prove to be a serviceable class A rimshot for the Toledo market.

Right Wing Propogandist Hosts YMCA Friday Morning On WSPD 7am

Friday morning I host the two heads of the YMCA/JCC for an hour long interview about the South YMCA. Robert Alexander, Pres. CEO, and Paul Schlatter head of the Board of Directors will be on to give us the final update on "the deal" and the future of the South Y location. Did the constant barrage of negative coverage hurt fundraising? What happens after three years? Is what Alexander makes important to the story?
Should be fun.

This is one of the smartest books of the decade!

This is one of the smartest books of the decade! It is thoughtful, entertaining and enlightening. Written by an investment industry “insider”, the author reveals industry weaknesses and hidden secrets,-notably how they pile on fee after fee, effectively lowering investor’s returns by up to 80%. I can warmly recommend this book to any person interested in improving the return on his or her investment portfolio performance. Kneisley’s thoughts are in line with academic research.

Carty buys his Christmas gifts in Perrysburg

This is very TMZ tabloidish, but today, at around 11:15am, Carty was seen doing his Christmas shopping at Books-A-Million at Levis Commons in Perrysburg according to a very reliable source. It is nice to know that Perrysburg book stores have the Mayor of Toledo's seal of approval. Maybe he was poaching, pirating, and pilfering great book deals at Books-A-Million.

NOAA Weather Radio has changed to a new Frequency !

Please note that NOAA Weather Radio has changed to a new Frequency. NW Ohio has a New NOAA Weather Radio system and is no longer on the same channel.

Please reset your Weather Radios to channel 5 OR 162.500 mhz.

If you have an older unit you may not have this frequency. You will need to get a new weather radio. Try the Midland WR 300. It works well.
