Did Glenn Beck back down under pressure from outside forces who were in opposition to his "Freedom Rally" which turned into his "Restoring Honor" rally? The very fact that he encouraged his rally supporters to leave their inflammatory signs outside of the rally is proof enough for me that Rev. Beck blinked.

Tuesday morning at 7a Rebecca Heimlich from Americans for Prosperity will be on and the Spending Revolt bus will be at the WSPD parking lot from 7-8a. Stop by and sign the pledge to cut government spending. If we return to federal spending of jut 20% of the GDP we can get the fiscal house in order.

Hahaha, the stupid cow that fed barry the line of cud, "we will never go over 8% unemployment, if the stimulus is passed" has left the white house in disgrace. It seems that barry has finally figured that the stimulus hasn't been as successful as the cow had originally advised.

Usually, if BravoBox takes on a singular book, it's because it has become so popular, and so thoroughly pimped, that there is no choice but to chop it to shreds, debunk its claims, and hopefully libel its author and acolytes so succinctly as to land us in hot water with a gaggle of bloggers, historians, amateur journalists, and rpg-ers typing one-handed from their parents' basement.

Sometimes, however, we run across a work that is not quite well-known enough to earn our literary "scorched-earth" policy. Sometimes, we just like it, and think you should too.

The Tea Party is bent on less or no government. Ok. Consider the implications of no government for awhile: No social security. No Medicare. No immigration service. No interstate highway system. No pure food and drug laws. No clean air and water laws. No regulatory structure to oversee business, banking or stock trading. And on and on. What will the elderly do without social security? The elderly get sick what happens with no Medicare? Like illegal immigrants? Care to take a trip out of state without an interstate highway?

It would be nice if the national news media would cover stories like this, but they're too busy reporting bs.

Democratic Representative Hank Johnson is afraid the island of Guam may tip over and capsize.

Washington D.C., Mar 20, 2010 / 09:41 pm (CNA).- In a final, urgent plea to prevent the passage of the current form of the Senate health care bill, the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) on Saturday evening sent a letter to Congressmen asking them to vote “no.”

“For decades,” the letter says, “the United States Catholic bishops have supported universal health care. The Catholic Church teaches that health care is a basic human right, essential for human life and dignity.”

The wife and daughter of Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) were involved in a serious accident today in Virginia. Apparently Mrs. Reid has both broken neck and back, while his daughter has lesser injuries. I wish both a speedy and full recovery.

However, I must point out the irony to those here on Swampbubbles who whine about autos from foreign makers, even if they are built here in the states.

The Reids were driving a Honda Odyssey minivan.

Unemployment rises in 30 states in January

WASHINGTON – Unemployment rose in 30 states in January, the Labor Department said Wednesday, evidence that jobs remain scarce in most regions of the country.

The data is somewhat better than December, when 43 states reported higher unemployment rates, but worse than November, when rates fell in most states.
