Lucas County

Knock, Knock....Who's There? Dog Warden, Dog Warden Who?

The dog warden who's looking to make sure your dog is licensed, that's who. Starting tomorrow the Lucas County Dog Warden office will be going door to door to find dogs without licenses. Tom Skeldon will be on with me tomorrow at 7:45 to talk about it.

What is Bartow's status with Stainbrook? Appears not to be what Stainbrook says.

I went to my mailbox and saw a Republican newsletter and of course I was interested. I picked up and noticed it was titled "Rogue Elephant". I was also intrigued that it was sent and paid for by Matthew Bartow. The newsletter was a pro-Stainbrook, including a letter from Jon and a note encouraging your vote. It also included some Republican history. You can read the letter yourself below.

How Effective Can Konop Be Now

Following todays commissioners meeting and the announcement by Oregon mayor Marge Brown that she will run against Konop when he is up for re-election, how effective can Konop be as a commissioner? What experience did he bring to county government when elected in the first place?

He whose name cannot be spoken had Doug Haynam and Jon Stainbrook on today for an update on the Republican party troubles. Haynam, Stainbrook, and Cross oh my!!!

F**d LeF*****e of WSPD will have Doug Haynam, Jon Stainbrook, and Gene Cross as guests tomorow. Normally F**d wouldn't post an announcement like this but there seems to be a lot of interest in this Republican dust up, so it's an opportunity to hear both sides on one station. Posted with tongue deep in cheek by F**d LeF***** of F**d LeF***** and the Morning News on 1370 WSPD.

Fred LeFebvre on the Fred LeFebvre and the Morning News show interviews Jon Stainbrook

Fred LeFebvre host of Fred LeFebvre And The Morning News on WSPD had an exclusive interview with Jon Stainbrook this morning followed by one with Doug Haynam. GOP Central Committee Meeting Flare Up - What's next?

I think the Lucas County Republican party is like North Korea, making a stink to let everyone know we still exist :) Of course I am joking. So the controversy is: was the letter, which according to the Blade, appears to have been posted after public closing time, did it make the 5-day deadline? Being it is reported it was posted at 4:42, is the closing time 4:30 or 5 or 5:30? Good question. Who knows?

A new group has formed? Lucas County Republican Party Grassroots Coalition

Apparently a new group/or another group/or a claim of a group was making phone calls encouraging voters to vote for Republican committeemen during the primary almost a month ago. The group is claiming to be the Lucas County Republican Party Grassroots Coalition. If you remember back, there were the Glass City Republicans only formed a year ago and seemed to have gone underground after Joe Kidd did not win the election.
