TX Gov Rick Perry Indicted On 2 Felony Corruption Charges

"A Travis County grand jury Friday indicted Gov. Rick Perry on two charges related to his effort last year to force District Attorney Rosemary Lehmberg to resign after her drunken driving arrest.

Grand jurors charged Perry, 64, with abuse of official capacity, a first-degree felony, and coercion of a public servant, a third-degree felony. The first charge carries a punishment of 5-99 years and a fine of up to $10,000. The second charge is punishable by 2-10 years and a fine of up to $10,000.

The indictment stems from Perry’s threat last summer to withhold $7.5 million in state money from Lehmberg’s office unless she step down – a threat he later carried out by vetoing an appropriation in the state budget."

Kasich's illegal appointment to Director of Health

Defend this, conservatives!

On Friday afternoon Kasich released a statement saying he was going to appoint Rick Hodges as Director of the Ohio Department of Health. Hodges, a former lawmaker, currently leads the Ohio Turnpike Commission. Hodges will be replacing Dr. Ted Wymyslo… and that “Dr.” part is kind of important.

According to Ohio Revised Code 121.10:

The director of health shall be either:

(A) A physician holding the degree of doctor of medicine from a medical college approved by the state medical board who, before assuming his duties, has been licensed to practice medicine in the state and who has had experience in pursuing some phase of medical practice;

(B) An individual who has had significant experience in the public health profession.

Poll: Minnesota voters support right to work referendum … 55/24

It looks like Indiana has started a trend by becoming a right-to-work state. Now Minnesota residents have indicated--by a 2 to 1 margin--that they are interested in adopting that position. It seems that people are becoming tired of union bullying, protecting ineffective workers, and using millions of dollars of union dues to support liberal politicians who--like Marcy Kaptur--only focus their efforts on union workers.

Looks like wolfie's art skills are moving beyond just cutting and pasting...

Again, if you look to the left you will see no shame (or dignity)...

Only this time it is a little closer to home.

In what can only be described as an absolute disgrace, Ohio police and firefighters began National Police Week on Monday by holding press conferences across the state (incl. Toledo) to rail on SB5 and push the repeal initiative. While that doesn't sound too bad, what makes it truly repugnant is that it was done under the guise of honoring fallen officers.
