Global Warming

Public Apology From Fred LeFebvre

I must apologize publicly for something I said on air a few months ago, and am doing it here as well as on air Thursday.
When the Cash For Clunkers program began under the auspices of the Federal Govt. I jokingly said on air that "next we'll have Cash For Kitchens". Obviously I was joking because the idea of using tax dollars to help people buy appliances is so obviously ludicrous.

Where's the Toyota threads?

Just curious why we haven't seen a posting on Toyota's terrorist plot to kill Americans.

You wouldn't know it, but this isn't the first recall ever.

But I have a question - The federal government as well as GM are piling on. UAW is in on it too.

Is it because of the seriousness of the issue and GM wants Toyota's customers, or has this crossed the line into nationalism with shades of jingoism because Toyota is a foreign company?

What do you feel about the Green Police?

750 Square Feet of Solar Power per Hour

After three years of researching, developing, fund-raising, and expanding, Toledo solar tech start-up Xunlight Corp. grew up yesterday by delivering its first shipment of commercially manufactured solar modules. It went to the University of Toledo, the institution that played a significant role in the company's birth.

The modules will be installed on a 10-kilowatt thin-film solar array on the grounds and the roof of the university's Scott Park campus, which is being renamed the Campus of Energy and Innovation.

ABC, NBC, And CBS: Still Hoping "Climategate" Just Goes Away!

After two weeks, they still follow the Party dictum-in spite of overwhelming evidence of bogus tests, etc. and basically nothing even resembling proof of man-made global warming. See this:

Bozell Defends Networks’ Silence on ClimateGate:
“Maybe They Just Don’t Know”

Another "Climate Change" faux pax

Here ya go Zeitgeist...The meathead scientists at U of East Anglia now admit that they dumped the raw temperature data that they fed into their models for "global warming"...They cannot now correlate at lot of what they have been spewing out...I guess this goes along with what was found in the email traffic...The article that I found is from the "Times Online"...Follow this link (Since it takes a month for the Times to approve a news/blog site)... http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/news/environment/article6936328.ece

Global Warming FRAUD..."hide the decline"

Gerken and the Dog Warden Controversy

Today, Pete Gerken and Tina Skeldon Wozniak denied Ben Konop's motion to remove Tom Skeldon as dog warden. (not sure if Tina had a conflict of interest there).

http://abclocal.go.com/wtvg/story?section=news/local&id=7110995

One could say this vote was predictable. Putting aside Tina's possible conflict of interest, we should take a look at the other commissioner's past statements.

Report: Great Lakes water levels dropping

Great Lakes water levels could drop by up to two feet by the turn of the century as temperatures rise, according to a recent series of reports released by the Union of Concerned Scientists.

Global warming is bad?

From what I've read, we would be moving into another ice age except that we have been spewing out carbon dioxide, which has caused the globe to warm. But is it so bad that we're not having mile-high glaciers move back into North America and scrape away every city and tree north of Cincinnati's latitude? I don't see the problem here. Maybe we should view atmospheric carbon, instead of an enemy, rather as a friend that is keeping the ice age away. We usually tend to take the short view as a species.

Kaptur's pork makes Drudge

http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2009/jul/01/sweetener-helped-sway-vo...

The pork Kaptur added to the climate change bill which no one was allowed to read totals 3.5 billion.

Because of the price tag of this bill alone is essentially guaranteeing it won't pass the Senate but it's important to note it will essentially end up a tax.

However, with all the talk of unneeded pork in the struggling economy our esteemed representative added in 3.5 billion for environmental projects in Ohio and "other midwestern states".

wsj- biggest tax in history, vote likely on Friday

The reality is that cost estimates for climate legislation are as unreliable as the models predicting climate change. What comes out of the computer is a function of what politicians type in. A better indicator might be what other countries are already experiencing. Britain's Taxpayer Alliance estimates the average family there is paying nearly $1,300 a year in green taxes for carbon-cutting programs in effect only a few years.

Carter Field is located directly across from the campus Rec Center and is on the corner of Oakwood and N. Westwood.

WTF!? NEW TREES FOR OLD

Forestry division workers were cutting down trees today on St. Clair street, then replacing them with new trees. I thought it sounded a little stupid that we would be doing that with a $27 million deficit so I called Denny Garvin the Commissioner for the division.

VW's 258MPG Car -- Like the Tata Nano, You'll Never See It In The USA

We're far too controlled by big corporations who need the auto industry to be hugely consuming parts and gasoline, as well as having a money-sucking government so heavily dependent upon revenue from gasoline taxes.

CNN Breaking News: 100 idiots trapped on ice near Toledo

You just gotta love it..... Flipping thru channels, and as I pass CNN, I see a map of Lucas County on the screen. I stopped and went back (like I'd watch CNN, puh-leeze), and sure enough we are currently breaking news. 51 degrees here, and 100 idiots decided to go ice fishing. Gee, the ice is breaking up and they are trapped..... Apparently both Lucas and Ottawa Counties are involved in the rescue.
