I'm sorry Toledo, but Mike Bell made his bones as a democrat. I don't know why he didn't choose to run as a democrat, but I never believed that he wouldn't govern as one. Today he asked those of you left in the city who actually pay income taxes to pay more. From 2.25% to 2.5%. But it's only "temporary".
Just in on my cell. Stainbrook has once again refused to sell tickets to Jeff Simpson for tomorrow's Lincoln Dinner. Luckily Jeff is our guest tomorrow morning at 8a on 1370 WSPD. Should be fun.
Harry Reid basically bought a national healthcare vote from Nebraska Senator Ben Nelson. How? By offering Nelson our tax dollars to pay for medicade of the entire state of Nebraska. The cost will be $45 million over the next ten years...and it never ends...Nebraska will receive this sweet deal at our expense forever.
First lady Michelle Obama told reporters Wednesday that Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid doesn’t owe her an apology over his racial comments about her husband’s electoral chances because she knows Reid so well.
“Harry Reid has no need to apologize to me because I know Harry Reid. I measure people more so on what they do rather than the things they say,” said Obama, in a roundtable with several media outlets, including POLITICO.
People are telling me that JR Block threatened Democrat Party Chairman Redfern. Redfern was told that if Konop has an opponent in the primary everyone will suffer the consequences. Can anyone confirm this? What have you heard? JR wouldn't have done this without Konop's approval. It's despicable but I won't be surprised to learn that Konop is rigging his reelection through intimidation. And with Stainbrook's long-standing relationship with JR that our "leadership" is part of this.
I am amazed at the union democrat. They think by votiing in people who will raise taxes it will help the working class. Their blind and unfounded hatred toward "the rich man" really clouds any common sense that could possibly enter their brain.
Now, the unions, after spending $60.7 million to get Barak Obama elected wanting his national healthcare program...finally realize that it has to be paid for somehow.
Taxpayers foot bill for employees being sued by ‘Joe the Plumber’

COLUMBUS — Ohio taxpayers are right in the middle of the civil rights lawsuit that Samuel Joseph — “Joe the Plumber” — Wurzelbacher has filed against three former state employees, charging that they illegally accessed his confidential information through state databases.
Today, Pete Gerken and Tina Skeldon Wozniak denied Ben Konop's motion to remove Tom Skeldon as dog warden. (not sure if Tina had a conflict of interest there).
One could say this vote was predictable. Putting aside Tina's possible conflict of interest, we should take a look at the other commissioner's past statements.

WASHINGTON, Oct. 23 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Far from providing "affordable"
care for everyone, ObamaCare would result in higher insurance premiums, more
and higher taxes, fewer jobs, lower wages, a reduced standard of living and an
erosion of privacy and individual liberty.
This is the conclusion of a new report, "No Free Lunch: The True Cost of
ObamaCare," by policy analyst Matt Patterson just released by the National
Center for Public Policy Research.
