Sylvania Township and ODOT say Taylor's bright sign has drawn complaints about the possibility of drivers finding it so distracting that it might lead to crashes.

Another local name name is now involved in the Burns scandal, Steve Cotner who performed background investigations. In Cleveland he performed 20k of services which were not rendered. One has to wonder if he was related to another Sander's employee Craig Cotner who was one time district academic officer.
Welcome to Short Notes from October Session dates of the 128th General Assembly. This is a summary of what happened on the floor of the House in Columbus. This is not meant to be a formal summary of the bills, but meant to provide from my point of view what happened. I know that some readers may disagree with my point of view and I actually appreciate that. I love to learn about issues, study them and process them through my understanding.
Officer Jeff Brown of the Oregon Police Dept. committed several crimes when he used a computer system at the Oregon Police Dept. to get info on a woman. He did this several times both on and off duty.
This is un-authorized use of a govt. computer. Felonies!
So just why is he not being charged with a crime? This is just Wrong!
He got a 20 day suspension. Big deal. He should have gotten FIRED!

13abc ran a story yesterday on the police officers who were given pink slips and how they are fairing, and brought up a good point in the story that the City is paying overtime when they can hire back one of the other officers. When Carty is asked about that, he belittles all of the media and says that only 14/15 people care about that. Well there are more than that Carty.
Budget chief contradicts Obama on Medicare costs

WASHINGTON — Congress' chief budget officer is contradicting President Barack Obama's oft-stated claim that seniors wouldn't see their Medicare benefits cut under a health care overhaul.
The head of the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office, Douglas Elmendorf, told senators Tuesday that seniors in Medicare's managed care plans would see reduced benefits under a bill in the Finance Committee.
The bill would cut payments to the Medicare Advantage plans by more than $100 billion over 10 years.

On Saturday, May 23rd at approximately 2:15 a.m. after a short pursuit involving 2 motorcyclists, Ottawa Hills Police Officer Thomas White conducted a traffic stop involving motorcyclist Michael McCloskey. Shortly thereafter, Mr. McCloskey was shot by Officer White. Mr. McCloskey was transported to the Toledo Hospital for medical care. The other motorcyclist was taken into custody without incident by a second Ottawa Hills Police Officer.

TOLEDO, Ohio - A unarmed motorcyclist allegedly shot in the back by an Ottawa Hills police officer, paralyzed and severely burned during a traffic stop filed a civil suit yesterday in U.S. District Court against the officer and the village where the incident took place on May 23.

It has been three weeks since the Lima SWAT officer shot the woman and child during a drug raid and not a peep has been heard from the authorities. It is nearly unique among these kinds of incidents that nothing has been released. How long does it take to perform a drug test on a dead person and interview the living? I hope it hasn't been swept under the rug.
There is a rumor going around that the Oregon Police Officer "Jeff Brown" stopped the drunk driver that killed all those people before the driver got to the taco bell that night AND let him go. You remember the officer was texting the bar owner that night. First, why when he was on duty was he texting. He should have been working. Earning his taxpayers dollars!
