Seems many including I are interested in her manifesto. I just surprised at the lack of comment on it. Is she right or wrong or just missing the real target? Are the peeps without opinion or concern or is it just the author?

This article was posted on Newsmax by author John L. Perry. He suggests our military should "resolve the Obama problem." The article has since been removed from the website. Here is the full text:

After a summer of high-profile partisan battles that have often put Democrats on the defensive, it may seem an odd time to publish a book called THE DEATH OF CONSERVATISM. Its author Sam Tanenhaus knows the facts - angry demonstrations, high ratings for FOX NEWS and books penned by conservative authors selling at a breakneck pace - but he stands by his story.

This is why they're called "Blue Cross" Democrats:

"When Max Baucus circulated his draft plan earlier this week, the PDF documentation page (image) indicates that the "author" was ex-Wellpoint VP Liz Fowler. Fowler was hired in February as Senior Counsel to the Chair of the Senate Finance Committee, and famously boasted that "the reason that I have a lot of friends is ’cause I got to give away money.” (cont.)

The Toledo Free Press apparently has a plagiarism problem. The Toledo Blade highlights once such instance uncovered by a University of Toledo professor, Mary Linehan. Ms Linehan discovered some unattributed work in the Free Press and informed TFP's publisher and president Tom Pounds in a letter. The letter went unanswered by Mr Pounds, but instead found it's way into the hands of the author of the plagiarized work--Gregg Schwartz. What happened next, is beyong the pale.

Michael Miller closes the book on Thurber-gate 2009 with an interesting article in the Toledo Free Press.

Apparently there were two other instances of plagiarism by the author in question.

"Toledo Free Press paid for an audit of its content going back 24 months, checking a sampling of each contributor’s work. That investigation revealed two more instances — Dec. 21, 2007 and Dec. 19, 2008 — in which Thurber failed to cite a source. Those articles have been amended online."

This is one of the smartest books of the decade! It is thoughtful, entertaining and enlightening. Written by an investment industry “insider”, the author reveals industry weaknesses and hidden secrets,-notably how they pile on fee after fee, effectively lowering investor’s returns by up to 80%. I can warmly recommend this book to any person interested in improving the return on his or her investment portfolio performance. Kneisley’s thoughts are in line with academic research.
