I drove by Scott High School today and it felt like the lights went out.
Two days after the election, I drove by Scott high school, which I do a few times a day, but this time it was different. It felt like the lights had gone out. With the election of Bob Vasquez, Virginia Hill and Larry Sykes, to the school board, who will advocate for the neighborhood's high school, Jack Ford, Lisa Sobecki?

Milliken to advocate for more police
Independent Toledo City Council candidate Kevin Milliken will hold a press conference at 3:30 pm TODAY, Nov. 1, 2009 outside One Government Center.
Kevin will discuss a different way he'll encourage Toledo city government to budget taxpayer dollars to ensure there are TWO police classes in 2010 to replace retiring officers and maintain an adequate safety force, as well as a new fire class to help solve the expensive fire dept. overtime situation.
Pickett Elementary should be closed down as a school and re-opened as a Laundromat.
The news concerning the Toledo Public school's Report card is very troubling to me, a parent of school age children, an advocate for children and parents and as a human being.

Swept into office partly on promises to end a “culture of corruption,” many potentially vulnerable Democratic newcomers are pressing House leaders to confront allegations of unethical conduct involving fellow Democrats.
