Toledo, Ohio. Keith Wilkowski, a leading local government lawyer and most recently Toledo mayoral candidate, has joined the law firm of Marshall & Melhorn, LLC, as a Member. Mr. Wilkowski will chair the firm’s newly established Advanced Energy and Green Initiatives Practice Group. The announcement was made by Thomas P. Killam, a Managing Member and Chair of the firm’s Business Department.

Early this year, when he was the only declared candidate for mayor of Toledo, I met with Keith Wilkowski for a talk on politics, the economy and Toledo’s future.

Wilkowski is a deliberate thinker, one who seems to process complete thoughts before speaking — “uh” and “um” are not among his linguistic handicaps.

Mayoral candidates Mike Bell and Keith Wilkowski will be on with me in the morning for final interviews before the primary on next Tuesday. The "lair" line comes from young Ben Konop who on his first scary visit to WSPD uttered those immortal words.

The University of Toledo College Democrats and College Republicans will be hosting a Toledo Mayoral debate September 2nd at 7:00 PM in the Student Union Ingman Room. The Toledo community is welcome to this event and the debate will focus on issues that are important to University students.

Mike Bell, D. Michael Collins, Ben Konop, Jim Moody and Keith Wilkowski will answer questions about the most important issues facing Toledo.

This is part of the continuing series of interviews WSPD will have with all the viable mayoral candidates this summer and fall. Today is Bike To Work Day so both Keith Wilkowski and Mayor Finkbeiner will be riding thier bikes to work, sort of. Wilkowski will bike from Ottawa Park which is near his home and will finish at his campaign headquarters. Finkbeiner will start at Walbridge Park and head to One Government Center which is about 4 miles.

Short On Specifics...Short On Solutions

Actually it is interesting this is a story, with everything else going on...but still it is a 21st century issue that elections must deal with. Why Keith would let the domain expire does not make sense. You should plan to keep your domain for at least 4-5 years after you stop using it because people may snap it up. Normally spammers do and sometimes what they will put up is worse than paying to keep it for 4-5 years. Doing something like this prevents any questions and image problems you may face when someone notices the site.

Tuesday morning 7:30a Keith Wilkowski joins me again for a chat about his run for mayor. He's named an Economic Development Team, has been talking about "green jobs", and says we need "shovel ready" property to attract development. Hope he brings his bat, 'cause we don't throw softballs at WSPD.

So Maumee-resident Keith Wilkowski has officially lined up at the starting line for the race to the 22nd floor office in One Government Center.
