COLUMBUS—State Senator Jon Husted (R-Kettering) introduced an important resolution this week that calls on leaders in Washington to reduce barriers in elections law that negatively impact the ability of our nation’s military personnel and other Americans located overseas to register to vote and cast a ballot.

“Current voting procedures, both at the state and federal level, fail to recognize the unique logistical and geographical challenges that the dedicated men and women in our armed forces and other Americans living overseas face in order to exercise their right to vote,” said Husted.

COLUMBUS—The Ohio Senate achieved another step today in reforming Ohio’s partisan system for drawing legislative districts with the passage of Amended Senate Joint Resolution 5, sponsored by State Senator Jon Husted (R-Kettering).

SJR 5 restructures the current commission that draws legislative districts by creating a seven member board and requires a bipartisan, five vote supermajority to pass a new legislative district plan.

COLUMBUS—The first official step in reforming Ohio’s partisan system for drawing legislative districts was achieved today with the passage of Amended Senate Joint Resolution 5, sponsored by State Senator Jon Husted (R-Kettering). The Senate State & Local Government & Veterans’ Affairs Committee voted this morning to favorably recommend the proposal to the full Senate for passage.

Columbus, OH—State Senator Jon Husted (R-Kettering), candidate for Ohio Secretary of State, today received the endorsement of the Ohio Republican State Central and Executive Committee. The committee is comprised of 66 members; one male and one female from each state senate district.

“I am grateful for the support from the leaders of the Ohio Republican Party,” Husted said. “This is certainly an important endorsement of my campaign and I look forward to building on this support during the months to come.”

Toledo, OH – Friday night, seven grassroots Republican clubs of Lucas County hosted the first annual Lucas County Republican Clubs’ Charitable Dinner, with a portion of the proceeds benefitting the Toledo Seagate Food Bank.

On Friday, June 12th a coalition of Lucas County Republican Clubs will be hosting its first charitable dinner at Holland Gardens, 6530 Angola Road, Holland, Ohio 43528.

The Lucas County Republican Clubs Charitable Dinner will welcome special guests Jon Husted (invited) and Dave Yost. The dinner, whose proceeds will benefit the Toledo Seagate Food Bank will begin with a Directors’ Reception at 5:31 P.M., followed by a social hour, and dinner at 7:00 P.M.

Admission to the event is $30 per person, and $50 per couple.
The Directors’ Reception featuring Jon Husted is an additional $15.
