In an unprecedented move, Governor Terry Shankland stepped into the fray and settled the dispute in Lucas County concerning Chairmanship of the Lucas County Republican Party.

Neither Jon Stainbrook or Jeff Simpson was appointed. In his search for the best and the brightest in Lucas County, Governor Shankland appointed CHRIS MYERS as head of the local Republican Party.

Acknowledgeing Myers' dismal political failures in his previous attempts to become elected to Toledo School Board, Governor Shankland laughed, and said " It's nowhere but up for that boy, y'all heah me ?"

September's SMB Toledo will feature Chris Myers, owner and editor of the SwampBubbles blog, a user-centered site dedicated to breaking news and political discussion in Toledo and Northwest Ohio.

Chris, and his attorneys Fan Zhang and C. William Bair, have an interesting story to share. Chris will talk about his experiences on the receiving side of multiple legal demands his online activities and site has attracted as well as his experiences being caught up in a libel suit.

Interesting GM didn't tell me they did it with our money. I think GM lost a lot of credibility. Think we will get back our 50 Billion? I think not. Thanks to good old Washington let's not punish bad behavior, just tape it up and let it continue.

I'm sure Chris will have more to say on this but I wanted to point out that both Frank and Mike called into Eye On Toledo tonight and gave pretty good interviews to guest host Chris Myers. The audio will be podcast by later this evening so you'll be able to hear it for yourself. Mike's a tough guy to get since he works in the morning and is at meetings most evenings. And Frank seems to be coming out of hiding lately.
