WARD SPEAKS OUT ABOUT THE ELECTION ON 13ABC "BRIDGES"

As you may know, I did not make it to the General Election. However, I am pleased with how we ran the campaign. We gave it our best.

Many people have been asking how I felt about the election results and about Toledo politics.

I addressed the issues and many more on the 13ABC show "Bridges" this morning.

In order to reverse the recent negative slide of Toledo politics into bickering

That person is Pastor Stephen Ward who, to me, has shown via his writings
and public actions that he is willing to become that servant to the public and is willing to “ratchet down” the public clamor and racket over issues that if a person

Toledo needs a change

Ward: Mayor Finkbeiner Not Seeking Reelection

Toledo, OH – In regard to Mayor Finkbeiner not seeking reelection; I believe that decision is based on a number of factors, from him consulting with his family and friends...but the greatest factor, I believe is due to the recall efforts.

It cannot be disputed that Mayor Finkbeiner has been the #1 cheerleader for the city of Toledo. However, it also cannot be disputed that the Finkbeiner administration has made some decisions that have not been in the best interest of the citizens of Toledo.

The National Assessment of Adult Literacy findings show that there are an estimated 30 million adults in the United States that read below a basic level. In Toledo approximately one in five adults are functionally illiterate.

People who read poorly will have a hard time finding employment, as well as helping their children with their schoolwork. This becomes a cycle that goes beyond the family, but extends to the city of Toledo as well.
