No More Taxes. It is long past " I Can't Afford" I just don't have the money. And I cannot afford ANOTHER $ 400.00 plus on my home taxes! Has anyone gotton their tax bill in the mail yet. Did you see just how much ALREADY goes to the schools?!!!
You can go to the Lucas County Web Site and look up YOUR Taxes and a new thing you can do is see just where your taxes go now. Also, you can see how much they will go up if a levy passes.
We already voted this tax levy down, But now it is going to back on in March. We will have to go vote no, again!
You do know it is a PERMINANT Tax Levy. It will Never come up for renewal.
The problem is down in Columbus. Have them fix it and get it off of me and more over my HOME! I can't afford it!
And thay say even if it passes they will still need another one too! BS!

our taxes are more than reasonable...
My grandparents are paying $2400 a year to effectively rent their home from the state. The home is appraised around $130K, and they get various elderly discounts due to some homestead act or something like that.
That's not "reasonable" by any stretch of the imagination.
It looks like Oregon is as tax-crazy as Toledo is. Governments have wallowed in money from the housing bubble. Well, that fat time is over, and if you have to live within leaner times, then so should your government.
One thing would remain the same -
You would move from one power crazed Wacko mayor to another power crazed Wacko mayor.
You live in the suburbs, you pay more taxes...nothing has changed.
Does this mean that after the school levy passes, you'll be moving out of Oregon Mike?
