There isn't a legal punishment that can do justice for poor Tayvon.
I suppose I'm a little disappointed to see that the mom can only get up to 10 years for her role in the toddler's death. If the abuse happened over the course of a few days, then surely she had opportunity to stop it from happening.
It makes me angry that some women bring new men into their lives and seem to forget that her primary role should be to protect her children. (In addition to this story, there was also the Baby Grace/Riley Ann Sawyers incident too, where the new stepfather beat the little girl over the course of a few days and the mom didn't seek medical treatment for her.) So sad. So infuriating.
Made me cry to hear what happened to little Tayvon - just minutes away. Makes me wish I had some sort of psychic ability - could have stormed the house and rescued that poor child from the monster who was abusing him. :(

Having been a single parent much longer then I was a partnered parent I can't even imagine allowing anyone into my home or life that would treat my child in such a way. Its just absolutely mind blowing that someone would do those things to such a small child.
