"NEW YORK (AP) - The R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Co., which has been under intense pressure from anti-smoking groups and members of Congress over print ads for its cigarettes, said Tuesday it would not advertise its brands in newspapers or consumer magazines next year...."
So is the product legal or not? If it's legal, why cant they advertize it??
RJ Reynolds is getting pressure from members of Congress?? I bet those same members of Congress benefit from the tax bucks that come from tobacco sales...
Somebody needs to grow some balls, and either treat tobacco the same way we do lead based paint or asbestos, or SHUT THE FUCK UP AND STAY OUT OF THEIR BUSINESS!!
(and for the record, I dont smoke and I hate the smell of it, but come on for cryin out loud!!)
One more nail in the coffin of print media.
