That's why most African Americans vote for Dem's. The Republicans only act like they care about African American issues beginning about a month before the election.

today in either party. (Candidate wise) I have some I like more than others - however there is little real substance out there on the candidates yet - it is just early in the election cycle for that.

However if you want to discuss party history and the support of civil rights - there has been a real rewrite of history done.

One of the forces that drove me out of the Democratic party was a study of US History.

President Bill Clinton recently expressed his admiration for this man. I couldn't believe I heard that said - nor could I believe the man was allowed to remain on the Senate after the 60's but hey - there you have it.

I found this letter a while ago posted on the National Black Law Students Association written by a Reverend Perryman. It is a well written letter and highlights many of the activities associated with history of the Democratic party that I found to be so disturbing.

Yes, and Dems 'ACT' like they care all the time. They both care about one thing: Getting Elected! And, they will lie, cheat, and steal to do so. I am so sick of hearing my students say they hate Bush, or they love Clinton. Then when I ask them why they 'hate Bush or love Clinton' they haven't got a clue, they can't give me one single reason. People of color do themselves no service by preaching Dem, Dem, Dem, the Dems care no more about the people than the Republicans do. It is the individual that counts, not the party they are affiliated with. Get informed and vote your with intelligence and morality, that is the only way we can make a better America, and in turn a better world.
