Personally I think it's long past time that people were hired based on their ability to do the job not on the color of their skin.
OhioKat, I think at one point in time in history this law may have been useful -- but even though race issues are still out there today, I don't think they are as prevalent to require affirmative action. I agree with you that in today's world, people should be hired based on their abilities.
