Mayor Carty Finkbeiner said today he has signed the domestic partnership legislation that will allow unmarried couples to have their relationships recognized by the city government.

This is the perfect case why Toledo has the highest unemployment around. McNamara wants to cater to special interest groups and produce icing for the cake. This has no teeth and is useless, except for the next time McNamara and others run for office. What if they spent that time going through the budget? I am so proud that while gangs infest our neighborhoods, we are taxed to death, we have a school system going to collapse on itself that all we can do is create and implement a domestic partner registry. This is a perfect example of why Toledo has the issues it has, and McNamara proves the point. I guess this is the bright leadership we can expect from him.....
And here I thought voters were concerned with Taxes, Jobs, Saftey, Schools, and City Blight. Well if the city can't do their jobs to effect big issues, we end up getting Toledo Gay Pride! This is a joke in city priorities!!
