Neff knows some how people voted?
It was only the forty percent that expressed sentiments?
Sobczak understands?
He understands that the business is as usual. Budget trimming, meeting with citizens for input to see what we want.
Not one word from either Neff or Sobczak speaks of increasing revenue.
Running with scissors.
The interview speaks volume. Layoffs are not the answer. If people would understand this or that, maybe it is time for the leadership to understand that the revenue needs to come up and stop putting in place in fines and fees to offset for the lack of leadership when it comes to incoming revenues.
Oh my goodness gracious all the homework and committee work that needs to be done as a city council person. It is part and parcel about being a representative to the people who elected the person as well as responding to people.
Sobczak will respond to citizens comments? Really? Why then did he just delete comments made to him via e-mail? Send one to see if he still deletes or responds....
Sobczak clarified what?
And he is Chairman of the Economic Development Committee.
"And he is Chairman of the Economic Development Committee."
That's a hoot!
I'm actually fairly disappointed in this interview, especially in Troy Neff. I started listening to his radio station for a while because of his posts on here and I like the fact that he has a true dialogue with the politicians without name calling and ranting. But come on, that was such a soft, warm fuzzy interview it made me sick.
I want to know why police and fire is only 1/3 of the $57 million. Ask that Troy. If the 3/4% was meant for fire and police, why isn't the whole damn thing for them?
Please ask that. Call Mark Sobczak back up and explain that to me and the rest of Toledo. You can count on me to call in, that is, if you can get you web stream back up and running. Why wasn't it dropped down to a 1/3% tax?
The truth is, Mark Sobzcak, Toledo City Council, and the State of Ohio like their taxes.
I will continue to spread this most beautiful article ever written as to why Toledo and Ohio lacks while everyone else is livin' under the sun.

he just likes to post his show here because no one listens to WCWA.
anything for a rating point.
Troy did respond and I give him all the credit in the world. For the past week, my radio has been dialed in on WCWA, and it'll continue to be. Troy's show seems to be about creating a genuine dialogue between each other and our city and county leaders.
but when you brought your point forward, there was no indication from Troy that he was going to address it. He just posts podcasts of the show and expects the click and listen without actually participating.
Yeah, it's pretty cool to hear him address the issue brought up while listening to a podcast but it's pretty weak to just come here to post links and that's it.
